I think it would be more likely that a team's LBs split between Death Grip and Rip the Ball. Your CB shouldn't have to tackle anything other than a WR very often, in which case the WR goes down almost immediately anyways. Though CB VAs aren't great as it is (outside of ball hawk), I still think there are better VAs.
