You don't need double capped catching to be dual threat. 48 is plenty. You don't even really need that much tbh.

I thought taking him to around the 40's would be pretty decent considering his high strength and carrying for those quick side throws yes?

But basically I just need more speed right? Should I put my points into it?

My Natural Speed & Agility is 74.92.... It takes 5 points to get 1.... I should use the points still tho? I'm just not sure it the best way to use all those points. I thought it might be enough to use the remaining EQ all on Speed instead? I'm not sure just second guessing...

I mean after my 3 season boost next season that means I could take speed up another 3 points... but using 15 to get 3 seems like a waste no?

I would say cap stamina, think about juke & spin... dunno tho... others thoughts? What tactics do you use? I would suggest 51 ish if your gonna keep slippery.

Up to you at this point. When you boost next season would you rather spend 10 points on say 3 strength, or 2 speed? At this point it's more about what type of player you want to have.

With your type of player you shouldn't be running on elusive. You have plenty of speed to hit the edges and do what you need to get done. Also Roll for a spin piece Spin and power-thru together work wonders. I would recommend dropping your running down into power running, not to far but just enough to make your guy hit the holes and not want to dance around.

It's underrated. You have some agi/spd but you are not an elusive back your not a pure power runner either but bringing your bar into power running takes advantage of the higher then normal str that you do have. I've tried both Elusive and Power running and because of how she performed on power running I took VA's that helped me improve her running behind the line where you are most likely to run into those DE's that Darren is talking about.

I've never tried or really been on a team with a combo back (well since season 5 anyway) so I can't really tell you what works best. You'll have to do some self scouting and take a gamble. Watch replays against good playoff teams and decide what would help more based on that, either faster or stronger. swimma seems to know what he's talking about although tbh 68 strength doesn't seem like enough to break too many tackles to me.

THanks guys. I guess a gamble it will be then! ;0

So running @ 0 or something simiilar might be a good place to start looking at replays tactics wise before I place my 15 points after I boost pre-season eh?

Nah, your guy can definitely run on -50.
My back is very similar to yours and has always had success at -50 (the three seasons prior to this one he had bruiser)

Strength: 65.45
Speed: 100.45 (+27)
Agility: 71.45 (+1)
Jumping: 41.27
Stamina: 37.27
Vision: 48.45
Confidence: 42.45
Blocking: 16.27
Catching: 35.27
Tackling: 8
Throwing: 16.27
Carrying: 63.45
Kicking: 8
Punting: 8

Special Abilities
Elusive Back Abilities
Quick Cut: 8
Head Fake: 1
First Step: 1
Juke: 1
Spin: 1

Power Back Abilities
Cover Up: 2
Lower the Shoulder: 0
Stiff Arm: 0
Power Through: 0
Dive for Yardage: 0

In my experience, the jumping, vision, and carrying all contributed highly to his ability to catch, which is why I've never paid much attention to the catching attribute.
For completion percentages he had-
79% season 8
87% season 9
77% season 10
Catching was only casually trained in the beginning of his SSB then never bothered with again.

I also tested more power oriented running (-51 and lower) but I liked the amount of cutting around would-be tacklers in combination with powering through moves on -50 ultimately

+1 he is not leading you in the wrong direction That build is actually quite good for a balanced back It's all up to how you want to run it and what VA's you want to take. Look into and look at Balanced backs production to get the idea you want. I would start looking at backs your level and higher though defenses are a hole new ball game in Pro's and WL

Awesome. WIll do. What sort of VA's do you think I should be doing?

Right now I am more elusive VA oriented...

15 Quick Feet
14 Slippery

and then some heading in the right direction I would guess:

5 Short Yardage Monster...

First to go should be Slippery right? Where should I put those points day 1?
