If we choose to run a slant we obviously would want a speed or possession guy in there. Let us determine who we want on the field for the designed play.
QB should not have to pick a favorite WR 1 and 2. It is too random. Plus you don't even know when the favorite WR will be called on the field at the right situation. You might be on a critical down 3 and 6 in the Red Zone for a flood right pass play and sim calls out 2 strength blocking WR's can kill a drive.

The whole point is that we are trying to get people to get away from run focus, so that will include WRs that can't catch. If you want to have a WR that can catch you can currently make him WR3 on the depth chart and use singleback or shotgun plays with the WR3 as the primary target.
