It's a pass blocking LT... but with 75 blocking he's not a liability in the running game, and gets plenty of pancakes without the pancake SA.

They are extremely overrated in this game. Only stat that matters for a OT and every Oline is sacks allowed.

In the NFL you don't ever hear Olinemen bragging about pancakes. Strentgh is good for pancakes, but because speed DEs are going to eventually get a option to speed rush, OTs better be prepared are they will get destroyed by some of these DEs.

Thanks for the advice, crtap. I have a good idea of where I want to go with my OT.

My lvl 19 LT has 42 str 60 blocking 36 agi 33 vision and 22 speed. He had never given up a sack until our last playoff game where he gave up 3 to their DE. That DE was running circles around my tackle even with his 36 agi and 22 speed as well as 6 points in protector. Speed increases how fast you dropback into the pocket. I am building my speed up some more to because by dropping back quicker you have more time to engage the DE even if they have insane speed. LTs most defintely need more speed and agility than they used to and you will have to keep increasing because 20 agi just won't cut it once you gain a few levels.

Also consider that how much speed and agility you need depends on your competition. OTs in higher level leagues will need much more to prevent giving up sacks. But if you're in a lower level league, why waste skill points on speed and agility when you could just train them.

Yukon had a pretty good defensive line no doubt. I think you just had a bit of bad luck and maybe a not as effective LG in that game. I bet if you played them again you wouldn't give up any sacks.

I agree with not spending any skill points on speed. I have just trained it. I have invested some points in agility however and I think it has helped particularly as a pass blocker.

Our level 14-15-16 OTs have prtty much neglected their speed (maybe high teens) and allowed only 5 sacks all year against equal level (presumably speedy) DEs. I think speed is overrated.

Any advice? Gonna boost 3 levels as soon as the season starts, and will put 3-4 points into Stamina, and then get blocking to 50, that much I'm pretty sure of. But where to go from there? He plays ROT on a run first team, so obviously run based. More blocking? Some speed? Agility? Vision? Pancake or other SA? Help me spend those ~5 points as well as any future points. Thanks.

ETA: Will get +4 blocking from items as well when I hit 16, if that changes anything.

Everything on strength and blocking, and a point on stamina per level.

Lathund, it looks like you are ijn a very good place on your build.
Definitely strength natural 50, blocking natural 50, and stamina 30. If you like stats another point or two of pancake wouldn't hurt.

I'd say it looks really good and keep doing what you are doing, focussing on strength and blocking.

The better the DEs you face the more speed and agility you need imo. Im shooting for 35+ agi 30+ speed this season.

Train speed, put all your equipment on strength and blocking... get some custom equipment too. You can probably have 60/60 strength blocking pretty easily with all equipment upgrades.
