glenfiddich makes a solera reserve, 18yr that was pretty damn tasty and not outrageously priced

for cigars, i'm far from a snob or expert and i don't smoke nearly as much as i used to. i buy my "cheap" cigars on CI, but usually go to my local shop for higher priced ones. i have a client that makes about a quarterly trip to costa rica and he usually brings me a box of cohiba's or R&J's once a year. the best surprise was a 4-pack of the millennium reserve pirámides, which were fantastic...not sure what he spent on those.
i like to buy small sampler packs on CI just to try new ones. of the ones i've tried blindly, el mundo del reys were probably the most pleasant surprise.
