the 2nd release of teams, killed an already tough market. The 13 lvl cap, just means lvl 16 players to start the season.

ahh, dont get me started. The level 13 cap is ridiculous. Ticket prices will eventually drive talent up. Its already happening.

I'm already dreading the effects of the player level caps per league. We sucked last season in A, that's why we got busted down to BBB. I have the same core team that's struggled for two seasons, so it's not like I loaded up on ringers to try to dominate BBB. I feel like I'm going to be penalized for trying to develop and improve a team that hasn't been able to compete very well in the past.

I don't think that it will be that big of a deal. The new XP thing isn't put in place to keep honest teams from running their team honestly, it's put in place to punish the dishonest thing. I think Bort is clever enough to devise this is a way that won't punish teams for gaining an advantage by playing the game honestly.

you've got nothing to worry about.

I'm getting a little tired of Bort changing the rules after the fact. Make rules at the end of the season, so people can make adjustments. Seems to be a slanted side to favor some people. How about a vote every once in a while on the new rules.

I don't understand why they waited untill after the offseason to put this crap out. My GM(especially) and I spent alot of time bringing in some better players so we could be more competitive. As Kmart said, and i understand, it's to keep people from cheating, but we went out and found these players and it was completely legit. The cap better be at 20.

I also feel they have been adding too many rules, what next? we can only take a shit on gamedays?

No, I don't think its that they're adding too many rules, but so many people are trying to cheat the system that they're doing their best to make it fair for everyone. If you were on a team that was gutted without warning, you'd get pissed (I didn't think I would until it actually happened to me. A GM released and traded several top players for essentially nothing and the owner had no recourse but to release anyone who wanted out and sell the team back). So I'll take the rules. Besides, if people really don't like them, Bort has shown his willingness to change the game to make it better, so just because this is how it is now, doesn't mean that it's the way its going to stay forever. He's always tinkering to try to give people maximum enjoyment.

I understand completely, there's a reason for every rule he adds. It just sucks when you are legit and you have to worry about stuff because of the people who cheat. It is what has to be done to prevent the team gutting.

Okay, they arent putting it in yet, its not effective, and MAY never become effective (if cheating stops.... How can something be cheating if there are no posted RULES anywhere?)

Anyway, if its 8 levels above the median, I dont think anyone in this leauge is effected.

Um, I might have to cheat there.

But the first lesson of chemistry is that when you make a rule to fix a "problem" or stop people from whining, you end up with more "problems" and more whining. EVERY SINGLE TIME.

This latest change, I love it, if it works the way Bort described. Shit seldom does though, his ideas change alot.

And "honestly", the first thing that popped into my head when I saw this rule is.."holy crap, this is SO exploitable". Im not saying how

Also, Kmart, that team we are on together, what do you think that lovely thing is doing to the median level in that leauge?

I feel the exact opposite.

I DON'T think he's clever enough.

He feels that Chemistry doesn't have that great an effect, and tries to use the "formula" as reasoning, yet, oddly enough, when it went into effect, people noticed a clear, and dramatic, effect.

I'm not saying the formula is wrong: I'm saying that sometimes the surface isn't where the problem lies.

i think its a great move by Bort really. I dont think it will effect anyone in our conference anyway as I think we all play fair, and therefore protects us from a rogue owner trying to gain an infair advantage. I think thats good. As long as it doesn't stop anyone from trying to improve their team through legit means, I think it is fair.

I think the chemistry thing is good too as means that teams that stick together longer benefit more.

EE AAA is mostly high level players so one or two teams that are mostly low level players aren't going to have that great of an affect on the median. It will affect a little bit, but I highly doubt that it will screw a bunch of the teams over.
