This will mean teams will stick together longer as they can build good bonds during a winning inagural season rather than getting stomped into oblivion and getting frustrated because they landed in a league with a bunch of 55/31 teams.

I agree completely. I think a team that has success in the Copper ranks will have an easier job of maintaining good agents for their successive seasons, therefore making them a much stronger team each following year. And being able to advertise that your team has been successful and has been promoted up will make it easier to draw in new agents.

I want to re-visit this discussion. I know s7 is seeing some of it's better teams going CPU. I seriously doubt that they get replaced by anyone better next year.

Any other leagues seeing some good teams going CPU already??

There will always be new teams that come in and replace old teams. Teams who get a new GM, organize a day 31 build session, or who simply weren't ready for Pee Wee dotball in their first season.

I agree that new teams will physically replace them. I agree that some down teams from this year will be better. My biggest concern is if 1/2 the teams are coming up from copper, that the majority of copper teams (even those with success) aren't really ready to compete against the top silver teams. There will be a lot of league champions who only played 2-5 human teams all season. I think you'd agree, there is a learning curve for PeeWee, and it typically takes a season or so against top competition to really get things in order.

I just feel like there are only 15-20 top flight silver teams this year. Next year, 8 will go gold, a couple more will likely fold, and there will probably only be 2-3 moving up from bronze. A couple more mid-level teams this year will likely step up their game as well. But I still see silver taking a step backwards.

And perhaps that should be expected, as we work to get the best teams in Gold. I guess my biggest question is whether or not a season in Bronze is really preparing teams for silver. I'm guessing there will be some teams that go 16-0 or 15-1 in bronze this year that will get destroyed in silver next year. They'll get upset and quit and it just starts all over again.

I don't think many of the teams that are 16-0 in copper will do badly in silver. I think you underestimate some of the coordinators that are down there, a bunch of them have connections to gold teams and that is why some of them are destroying.

I think they will be very competitive in silver next season most of the copper winners finishing around 2nd to 5th in their conference in silver next season.

Yeah, what bobweave said. In copper 16 we have a few very good teams. Our team has all Gold Cords, I know some of the other teams are pretty good as well. Yeah we're stuck unfortunetly with a bunch of damn CPU's in our league, but don't take away from the 4-5 good teams on top of the list, besides build date, I think they could compete pretty well in silver, minus the 55/31's as I mentioned.

A good % of PeeWee Gold Owners have a sister Team in Silver Now or will be next season up from Copper.
There are still a few new coaches every season from the Cap levels making a peewee run.

Once they see the competitive style of PeeWee and the fact that teams in most cases are closely matched. They salivate thinking they will just walk in here and win a trophy right out of the gate, when they fail or get close but no cigar. They are hooked.

Or the first time they play any of the good teams and have to ask the question:

"If we are all level 4, and they are all level 4, how the hell did we just lose 62-0? And why are they passing the ball to their TE so much?"

Pee-wee is full of agents who get one taste of it and within 2 seasons their homepage is devoid of any players over level 14.

I just shake my head when I see some of the heavyweights of GLB saying things like "what's the point of pee-wee?", "Pee-wee is for people who don't like tough competition", and the classic "there's no gameplanning or strategy too it.".

I gotta believe if half of them came down here for a season, they would either never come back to avoid more humiliation, or buy a team and retire all their players for flex so they can fill out their ST positions.

Yeah, I have to believe that competition will continue to get better. I can't imagine people not wanting to stay competitive. I know that personally I don't want just a sniff of success. If I win once, you better believe I want to win again.

Pee Wee Silver leagues will never be competitive compared to Gold leagues. But the top of each Silver league should have a few contenders, there will be some middle of the road teams, and there will be some piss poor/CPU teams. Its just the way the pecking order works around here.
