2 seasons, 2 championships, and our top 6 teams will be top 8 teams next season. If Bari gets back to where they were, we'll have 9 teams in this division who are competing for the top seed.
None of that matters though. What matters is the championship record. Our #4 seed beat your #1.
God bless America. Zeta did what no one in Alpha could; beat the WuJacks.
To be fair, the Woo-Jacks did something they didn't all season and that was abandon the running game, they only ran the ball 15 times and they had been so effective in running the ball. Credit to Rohrheim though, they did beat the Woo-Jacks when nobody in Alpha could, we would like to change that next season.
3rd time lucky?

Wrong. Your top team is better than alphas top team (singular). Besides that, alpha > zeta, and it isn't close. Alpha went 50-16 against Zeta between the interconference games and scrimmages. If you think alpha took them seriously and zeta didn't then you are quite obtuse.
Again, Alpha won 50 games against Zeta this season, and only 16 in reverse. Give me any statistic to back up your claim of the top teams being better besides the Stampede beating the Jacks.
Everyone always talks about how dominant the AFC is, and how great the Patriots were for being 18-0 of the best conference. Well, they lost to the NFC Giants, 18-1 baby, the only thing that really matters in the end is who won the super bowl. In 10 years when people talk about the 2007/08 season, will anyone talk about how great the AFC was, or will they talk about the Champion Giants?
Honestly, 10 years from now I think there will be more talk of the undefeated Patriots losing in the Super Bowl than of the Giants winning. Some team wins the Super Bowl every year, but the Patriots are the first team to ever make it to 17-0 as well as lose their only game in the Super Bowl. With that said, conference superiority isn't a big deal in the NFL as they have the Pro Bowl and quite a few games against each other. For goallineblitz, the first 15 weeks are purely against conference opponents, so while you can speculate all you want about which side is better, nobody really knows. However, after all the games have played out, for this season it seems pretty obvious that:
1) Zeta had the best team
2) Alpha was the best conference
You can discredit #2 by saying only Alpha tried or that only the championship mattered, but the fact remains: Alpha > Zeta for Season 2.

I'm not so sure they did that on purpose. It's hard to understand why a team that has an all-star runningback would think about passing against a team that shut down Corey Smith.
I think we kinda forced them to pass on us.

10 years from now, whether or not anyone is talking about the Patriots or the Giants, one thing is certain to be a fact:
No one will be talking about the WEPL in Goalline Blitz.

yeah right. GLB is going to be the new YouTube/Google/Myspace internet landmark, and the WEPL is going to be the most respected league in GLB.

Cry a lot? I used head-to-head records to show Alpha > Zeta and that's the best you can come up with? "We are A TON better than you in ways you can't prove!!!" What does that even mean?
As I said, Zeta had the best team this season. Who won the championship last year means nothing as to which conference was the best this season. Seeds don't matter for who won either, especially if you're trying to say that because the #4 seed won it that all that the 4 top teams in Zeta are better than anything in Alpha. That's like saying 5 teams in the NFC were better than the Patriots last year just because the Wild Card Giants won the Super Bowl...
Anyways, congrats to the Stampede on winning the championship and congrats to Alpha for being the best conference. Again, 50-16 record head-to-head.

Maybe but then again it surely didn't take much to force them to pass, the scores were pretty close and the Woo-Jacks did have time to get back into the game. We won't know until one of the Woo-Jacks confirms this or not.

Additionally, since you said that the top teams in Zeta are better than their counterparts in Alpha, I decided to check out the scrimmage results from only playoff teams. That is, the playoff teams scrimmaged the other playoff teams that were eliminated at roughly the same point they were. In these games, Alpha won 14 while Zeta took 4. However, the Valhala win today was pretty much guaranteed so we'll negate that and say it was a 13-4 win by Alpha. That number includes the championship game as well btw.
...and yet, Reykjavík and Houston both gave the Stampede a better game than the undefeated 'Jacks did (and 3 other teams from Zeta beat them). The only significant week 16 game was Reykjavik/Monarchs, and who won that again? ...so to say Alpha is better than Zeta based on scrimmage games? All I can say to that is, "Whatever blows your skirt up, big fella."

Monarchs experimented in that game against the Aggies, we had an OT playing TE and two TE's as the starting WR's.

... Just as many teams did in the scrimmages, so using those as "proof" of superiority is silly. The only real judge is that every Alpha had a shot at beating the 'Jacks (some had 2), but it took a Zeta team to knock them off. I think that, coupled with the fact of how much more competitive Zeta was is proof of ZETA superiority.

Honestly, I dont know why anybody would take scrimmages seriously. They dont matter if you win or lose. I imagine some managers wouldnt change tactics or scout at all, and some managers are making ridiculous roster changes just for fun. You really cant use these joke games to make a serious comparison.
