A fast, agile DT who's a good pass rusher gains a lot if he can switch to power tackling. You don't really lose anything and you gain the ability to force fumbles. Since you already have the advantage of relatively high strength (compared to most HBs), there's not really any reason not to get relatively high tackling imo.

My D.T. plays on Power tackling.

I have a 40+ DT with 35 tackling that has 13 tackles and 3 missed tackles this season in AA.
I have another 40+ DT with 70 tackling that has 14 tackles and 1 missed tacle this season in the cloud.

Both are playing on wrap up.

The one with 70 tackling had 65 tackling last season and had 13 tackles and 13 missed tackles last season in AA. He also has over 115 strength and over 75 agility. The one with 35 tackling had 41 tackles and 10 missed tackles last season. They were on the same team, and the one with lower tackling played more NT although both rotated at both positions.

The one with lower tacking weighs 50 lbs more.

that's actually really nice info...but you should really label those guys instead of saying "the one with x tackling" lol

Just use Tackling to train since it is partners with every worthwhile Intense Training..

It's important, but really not as much as it seemingly should be.

Does higher tackling increase the tackling radius? if so, the number of missed tackles would be misleading, since the guy with the larger tackle radius probably misses a lot of arm tackles that the lower tackling guy couldn't have even attempted.

So it sounds like my assessment of 60 was right on for a certain build of DT. The misses that you have aren't a huge deal playing at dt. I would cap it after working on agi, str, spd, and vision

Something like that.

My DT had 70 tackling, and playing on power the last season he had 43 tackles and 3 missed tackles.

I sold a piece of his AEQ that gave +tackling and +monster hit for a +General one when he moved to NT, and now that he's at 64 tackling he's still playing on power but has already missed two tackles this season.

after those two misses, how many yards did the RB gain after the DT missed?
