Here are a couple examples of my RO from our last scrimmage. This is with 8 in SB, approx 73 Agil, 52 Str.

What are we looking for here?

I assumed those were examples of SB firing when I come off of those blocks.

If it's something else, I'd like to know what so I can make it happen more often.

Well the first replay you didn't even shed the LT. The other play you reverse pancaked him. I really don't think shed blocks helped you too much on either. Shed block is good, I just don't think those are two replays that tell it's story very well.

I know this is a D.T. But I like this play, it's crazy. A shed and heavyweight fire, a shed and heavyweight fire, then a dive for the q.b. and a FF.

I think it's worth getting to at least 4. I wish it was a little more effective on run plays sometimes.

Ahh, so the shed block is firing when the blocker and DT look like they are jumping apart?

I guess I've been watching for reverse pancakes all this time getting frustrated that they don't happen more often.. lol

exactly. It works better on rushing the passer, but it can fire on run plays, kinda looks like you just push him out of the way, from what I can gather. Don't quote me on that.

The jumping apart thing is just any broken block. It could be shed block considering it heavily contributes to that occurring.

examples (look at the NT):

this is a block being broken, nothing else:

this is a pancake:

NT in question just has a bunch of strength, agility trained up and is level 10.

This isn't true. You don't need that much agility OR that much strength (at least, if you have enough in Shed Block).

Shed Block alone isn't going to get the job done. It's a multiplier, the more you have in it the better your chances will be at shedding the block. If you have high Agility and Strength (the two main attributes that consistently contribute to breaking/shedding blocks) and add that high multiplier on there, it's going to GREATLY increase your chances of shedding that block.

So, while looking for SB I came across this . . . what do you guys think of a 5% break block piece?

It's more than just that. I would think it gives your plays an ability to rip and swim, when you normally couldn't? As shed blocks goes up your ability to rip and swim get better.

Like juke you can juke with high agility an 0 juke, so I have heard, but once Juke gets really high you do it a lot better with more consistency.

I don't' believe juke is just an old fashion multiplier, Like I don't believe shed blocks is just a multiplier. I think it's more than that.
