it;s more whats in the AI, and unless you can see the AI it wont make sense.
if you are an OC and have the option of putting a speed based receiver in a slot for certain plays, lets say quick long routes, VS a possession receiver in a slot for short routes, for example, and your not putting at least a custom slot WR in for each of those plays... your not taking advantage of your players and not being a good OC.
deciding against it to just fit in "too many good plays" is just not going to cut it if you want a really god team IMO.
I see it all day long and it's not just with WR's.
