Each team should have 2 TE's, minimum. One for run blocking, another for receiving. A receiving TE is like a Possession Receiver and a blocking TE is like an agile OT. Quite simple really.

Blocking TEs gets pancakes. Receving TEs don't. High level TEs suppose to do both. If he can't then he is considered weak.

When you've got RBs that can run over defenses like ours, then you need a TE that knows how to block. A blown block attempt = tackle given up in the backfield. BUT HE SURE CAN CATCH A BALL AND MAKEUP FOR THE FUCKUPS HE HAS MADE

YIPPPY, HIP HIP HORRAYYY.

Those TEs are dime a dozen and useless.

My SS is a level 34. On some plays, his main purpose is to shut down the TE because our CBs are lockdown guys. I cover guys like you all of the time. Your speed is only good for LBs, not for secondary. Contrary, the TE does better when I'm in outer zones of course. Opponents that play with the AI knows who you are. You're not gonna kill anyone with that speed even though thats what you're trying to do. He can't block either. Wtf, I've already rated this clown. Why am I trying to cram knowledge in a thick skull?

D-

Final

so in short you are trying to hell him, he would do better versus a SS-coverage if he had higher blocking? or that he wouldnt get pancaked? or that he would be wide open more often if he had less speed? you have noticed that (if the OC knows the basics of the game) this tight end is never on the field when a rushing play is called?

None of the above. If you can block you can block, period. I'm saying if you got speed then you can get open against zoned LBs. Some defenses like ours have a SS covering him man2man. In today's GLB, speed is what everyone wants the most of. Safeties need it more than TEs. Its rare to have a decent TE that can burn a SS. His TE will be as good as the safety wants him to be. Basically, it all depends on what coverages he faces.

On my team I'm the receiving TE and the starter is a blocker. I get just as many plays as he does so the OC does a great job by balancing it out. I'm usually the blocking TE on goal line situations. I'm not saying I should be in on those plays but the point is that you have to have blocking skills too. If you have a receiving TE then you need to be 65/35 in favor of receiving. You can't ditch your blocking abilities because you wantto be a receiver because you will be used as a blocker on the field WAY MORE than you think. Just look back at the replays

coming closer but still...you are wrong. a good OC will have the blocking tight end on the field when a rushing play is called. and when he wants to pass...the receiving one comes in. this is how GLB works...i'm not saying this is how it should work or that i like it...but thats just a fact.

you may be right that speed is overrated for receiving tight ends...there are a lot of things they have to work on (strength, vision, catching, agility, speed, carrying, confidence and some jumping & stamina)...but 1 thing a receiving end does not need...and thats blocking

You're missing two little facts. This info thats given is strictly based on advanced AI and Stamina.

Basic AI doesn't allow to to put a blocking TE in on a running play all of the time.
Stamina is another reason why receiving TEs are forced to block. Don't know the equation but if your stamina gets too low it is somehow calculated with your current lvl and another TE come in automatically.

Ex: If a receing TE catches a ball for 10 yards, makes a move and gets pounded by a higher lvl SS or LB with certain skills, then it drops the morale and stamina of the vitcim. If a TE catches a 4 yard pass and gets immediately tackled then less stamina is deducted and he will probably stay in the game.

No way around it. All receiving TEs are FORCED to block. Having a little blocking is probably all you need for a recieving type.

This is not an opinion. That is a FACT. Look it up.

The 5th and 6th line of this same post above pertains to the TE we were discussing. He is underleveled. He's need to get the Underdog VA if he's gonna play for that team.

Read your link below again. Do you know how gay you seem? You are totally obsessed with this game. Thats patheitc. Now, since you wanna butt in my conversation by being a smartass, open your build and let's what kind of build you have. I'm certain that I can find flaws in your guys. As a matter of fact, don't do that stfu because you're a nerd with nothing going for you.

The only thing I agree with in your "BIO" is that NES Pro Wrestling is a great game. Maybe we can talk about that instead.

When I get a chance, I'm gonna create a player and call him Star Man.

Puma, you'll get your chance to look at one of my players in Game 6 of the season in the Casual lvl13 #3.

Here's his stats through the first 2 scrims.

11 punt returns, 330 yards, 5 TDs. 9 PDs.

You MIGHT beat "us" but none of your WRs will beat me. Garauntee it buddy. You can go ahead and say that I'm over-confident, or an asshole, or too damn cocky but you started that when you ran your mouth. Let's see your WRs and special teams coverage back it up.

THIS IS WHY I LOVE GOAL LINE BLITZ.

Servers don't run this game. Idiots keep this machine turning and I feed from it too.

You're talking about builds for casual teams? Then I would agree that a recieving TE would be the best build...and that he'd need blocking. Otherwise, you're out to lunch.

Thanks...but I'm full up at the moment. Seems to me that Mr.'Casual League Know it All' Packers27 is missing something...most players are built towards the advanced AIs, so running your mouth about knowing what to do in a casual system is like saying your a smart 13 year old in grade 1.

"Thanks...but I'm full up at the moment"????????? The hell you are. You have zero common sense. GLB is not common sense. GLB has to be taught. Its not on the same level as going to the bathroom when you have to piss. GLB is being taught very wrong. No one especially you can tell me anything about this game. I get all of my info from the creator. Not some fagulah GLB fantatic that spend alot of money on this game and still knows nothing. So quit posting. When I said FINAL, that means no more. FINAL is common sense and yo keep bringing up shit that makes you look like a jackass. Obviously, you don't have enough common sense because you would've shut up by now.

Speaking of book sense, "Thanks...but I'm full up at the moment"???? Leave the"up" word out of the sentence. The crazy thing is that, you were trying to type "filled up". That would be wrong too.

stfu, because you're dumb in both senses.

Obviously not...but you have to realise something...if you had originally said that my build wouldn't work in 'casual' leagues then I would have ignored you. You came accross like you were talking about ALL leagues. As such, you sounded like a dumb ass who had no business giving advice.

Never said I had all the answers...unlike you. What I did say was that you were out to lunch about build advice and that NO ONE should be coming to you for advice. By the way..."you get your info from the creator"?? I think a mental health visit is in order as obvisouly you're hearing voices.

No I meant full up and as I can tell from your use of the English language I was writing as I would have said it...just like you would have. But thanks for the English lessen Professor dumb fuck.

This bores me, go out and prove something before going off on someone elses build. Just cause your level 26 TE has preformed well doesn't mean you know how to build properly. Oh, and if you mean Bort is the 'creator' then you should also realise that we're still in Beta mode...which means the game is ever changing. So if you followed the FAQ set-up still presented by this game...then you're going off old news...like 8 seasons ago news. Thanks for sharing though.
