http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=10651

just one out of many luck game examples. I realize, it was earlier in the season. But, I looked for 2 minutes and the 3rd team I come across, there you go.

Now, I'm sure if I looked around I can prove that somewhere in the coding this game has a luck factor involved, just like the casinos when you are in a casino gambling online. There's that chance in the coding where you will lose or you'll win. However, in this game a skill takes in effect as well as coaching, etc... But I still think there's some sort of dice type of luck card in effect in the coding, that's all I'm saying.

I was actually thinking about making a post (not necessarily about losing to the Gobblers), but just to make a post asking how many teams went undefeated and lost as well. As well as, teams that have lost against teams that are 4-5 levels under them, etc... To see if there really is something more into just coaching, player tactics, and boosting up in certain areas.

Btw, I'm not trying to say it was totally luck. They played a good game and did what they had to do and def. was the best game we've played this season....and I came back to bite my own ass. All I've been saying all season is never underestimate the other side, I think that's what we also did. I studied these guys for an hour yesterday and that was it, def. should have looked into their team more. Also, we didn't start our main HB who led the league in rushing this season, huge mistake. I hope he forgives me for this....it's just ye...

I would just like to say that I believe we, the Gobblers, have an outstanding defensive coordinator who has really helped organize our team defense and has put together really solid gameplans that has helped us reach the championship. plus i'm also proud of our team first mentality that our wonderful coach and owner has instilled in us!

That team your looking at was gutted, look at the beginning of the season. They dropped all their players and the current team didn't have anyone that played that game.

Look at the whole picture. Your only looks at the team like it is now and not what it looked like when that game happened.

Please show me a team that wasn't gutted example if you have the time.

I know I noticed that and didn't feel like editing and just knew someone would say that, lol. I'll find more then.

I've been saying all season some games are based on luck so no one can say all of a sudden I'm saying it now. However, I am saying it a little stronger now, u bet. After what our league has experienced during the playoffs, so many upsets.

It's kind of a good thing though, show's our league is def. improving. Whether you believe it or not, alot of people are complaining about things like this happening to their teams, there's been alot of upsets during these playoffs games out of all the leagues. All I'm saying is, I want to make sure there isn't luck involved in these games, that some of the coding is random luck of who scores sometimes. It needs be based on skills and tactics entirely, which I hope it is.

If the game was based on luck, there is no reason for anyone to play it. The only reason to play a luck type game is to win money. It has to be based on knowledge, tactics, and builds and the randomness to make it fun. I can pretty much say, there is no flag in Borts code that gets flipped and says, ok upset, generate all the plays but make sure this team wins.

Each players stats are weighted with some randomness each play. There is a point that one teams number will never be able to beat the others, good team plays a bad team. But when similar teams play, like you and the Gobblers, a slight morale hit becasue of Dropped Passes, Specialty Tackles, and anthing affecting morale could make the difference in the game. Thats probably the reason you QB threw all the INTs, which cost you the game.

I'm not talking out my butt here, I develope Radar Simulation for my job.

I'm not saying that at all. You're misunderstanding what I'm trying to say about the luck factor. Why would he code the game to make whole games based on luck. I'm talking about certain plays. In fact I'm almost 100% certain there's somewhere in the coding that have numbers to prove what I'm talking about.

I also think if home team advantage really took into play in season games and the playoffs, it could have given us the boost we needed to win. I think that TRULLY does need to be added because say this...every home game we have you have a .5% addition to all ur stats. Now when u make it to the playoffs, every home game there adds 1.5%, so 1.5% for the 1st playoff game, next one if you win the 1st one would be 3%, etc... this would make it really hard for the other team to win. But you know what, that's exactly how it is in real life. Teams go into games and have home field advantage and the crowd sometimes plays a big factor in games.

I'm not trying to make another excuse etc... It's just making me think outside the box now and want more added to games to really make it better for the upperhand teams to actually get what they deserve. I'm not really saying they don't deserve it, all I'm saying is I trully think when a team works hard on their tactics and leveled up their players more so then other teams, etc... and worked their butts off and went undefeated, I think they deserve more then a pat on the back. Oh well, We'll have fun next season and hopefully we'll move up next season.

We wish the Gobblers the best of luck and I'm def going to get to the bottom of the luck thing and talk to Bort, I'm just curious that's all. It's alright to be curious about things like this and ask, that's what he's there for.

Btw, I PHP code and this game does have php coding involved.

GL again and awesome game.

A #6 seed and a #7 seed in the championship matchup...........

It could happen, but the stars would have to be aligned. As far as the South Bend Red Raiders go, we have been progressing all season long. Our defense was very solid and our offense tinkered with some things and found a niche. We have our players training correctly and sacrificing playing time to create efficiency. We also drink beer and believe in individual rights over the collective.

it sucks to spend so much time on your team, go undefeated, and then get taken out right when there's 1 more game to win.

You don't know how it feels just yet and even though this is a game, now I kind of feel how the patriots felt when they where ripped off by the Giants. Even though I was rooting for GB and was hoping they would go into it and beat the pats.

I'll stop posting and I apologize for all the "whining". But you gotta understand where I'm coming from. Even though sooner didn't whine to you guys, I know he's just as mad as I am. I'm not really mad, not going outside the house stomping, throwing stuff at the wall, lmao. To be honest, I can careless. I'm just saying it sucks to play a game and fail and no one likes losing. If there was a way to go 1 v 1 against ur def. coordinator who supposidly made this win happen, I would, lol. I'm just a competitive person, sorry.

GL on Tuesday guys, hope you win for the east!!

Sounds like a little whining.
Not to say that there might be an issue.

This is BETA, so as I told all my team, I dont want to hear complaing, just deal with it.

Dude even if there is some luck involved that is also how professional sports are. Sometimes you get the right bounce and the fumble bounces in your hands and sometimes you don't. And you complain about getting eliminated and how its unfair because you had a good regular season, honestly who cares. Look when the steelers won they were a wildcard team, upsets happen that is what is so great about sports.

You lost in the playoffs, congratulate us on our win as we have to you on a hard fought game. Take your lumps like a man, look at your team and study the game and come to conclusions other than you got robbed because of luck and that will help you avoid losing to a team of players that are slightly lower levels. I am not trying to rub in this victory by any means because it caught me off guard. The other teams we eliminated did not complain they said great game and went back to the drawing board I suggest you do the same.

Anyways enough of this I have a championship to get ready for. I hope we put on a good show for everyone and do the East and all those rooting for us proud.
