Please don't confuse the reason I am sort of arguing this. We earned a demotion that is a fact. I can't argue that we sucked but my team did earn a spot here by winning their AAA conference. My arguement is that a 4th, 5th, or 6th place team did not earn a promotion. How can you validate replacing us with any of those teams? Mabe all of those teams can beat us right now and maybe not. There is only one way to find out.

I understand your side, but Dayton has been promoted twice in it history without winning the conference, but I still feel we 'earned' it, you still have to be good to get into the top 14 of ALL AAA teams, that means they are better than 50 other teams, they didn't just wake up one day and be a top 14 AAA team, they had to earn it.
The system will never be prefect but I really like the set-up now, your winning, you move up, your losing, you move down. Regardless of CPU teams sprinkled in there for some extra promotion.

No offense but I happen to agree with ultrajer. You said it yourself half your team was inactive. I don't know if Birmingham will be promoted or not as currently according to ultrajer we are the 8th team with 9 teams supposedly moving on. Sure Pros are harder now that you have less and less teams gutting over the past seasons.
We have a new problem now though. A ton of teams are requesting to be relegated to minors because of rebuilding and the player decline rules. I don't think the player declining is really that big of a factor as everyone is making it out to be.
Birmingham may struggle for a couple of seasons just like we did in AAA but we will always be competitive and isn't that what this is all about?

Fact is that the rule says that the bottom 2 team get relegated and the winner of each conference moves up. I donīt want to argue who would have the stronger team, Hattgenstein or any of the AAA teams moving up. This season though is kind of special due to some extra teams promoting, so there is more than the usual turnover (not talking about the CPU teams). This is definitely some kind of undefined are in the rules of the game, however, for the continuity of the league Iīd be very happy if for example there is the exception this year that maybe only the last team gets relegated. This would mean that one more team could stay in WEPL but also one more team can move up than usual, filling the 2 vacant spots.

Or you could end up right back in AAA. Ultrajer mentioned earlier that we lost to the Arctic Tigers. Did they not win their conference last season? They got skull drug just like the rest of us. The only exception is the Normandy Invasion who are just awesome. Anyway if we are in AAA tomorrow it is fine. Best of luck to everyone who gets promoted. We got here once and we can do it again.

The only ones that would sign was the ones he offered max contract and promised complete level 56 gear, which bankrupted that team.

I would like to see the Volunteers back in WEPL next season. I know they had a tough season this year but it is hard to win when you have a lot of inactives. If this were a normal season and there wasn't a WPL then I could see an argument against this. But with all the teams going up as well as the CPU and rebuilding teams leaving, I definitely think it would be for the best for the Volunteers to get one more season to prove that they can win at this level. I don't want to see the 5th or 6th best AAA teams come up here and get their ass handed to them every week except for when they play each other. A 12-4 AAA team will be an 8-8 pro team if they are lucky. Jay has contributed a hell of a lot to the forums and this league since he has been here and it would definitely suck if they were to get demoted.

The other side is, would a 10-6 AAA team really want to come up here? When WWW promoted to WEPL after going 10-6 with a couple fluky playoff wins and no trophy, we weren't really happy about it either. I'd think it'd be in the interest of all parties involved to keep the Vols here.

Jay, you did better than me whilest I re-worked the Scorgasms. There is no one here who knows your issue better from experience.
The question is; did you do enough LAST season to make your changes THIS season substantial? Do you have enough of a roster together (and access to enough FAs) to be competitive?
Honestly, with ALL the changes this off season (build capping finally having an effect, everyone in roster shifts, the WPL et al), I honestly don't know WHO will be bosses next season. I think Jay is good people.
I'll sign it, but if it doesn't work, he might even be back next season

It is a huge learning curve up at this level, you need to scout your ass off for every game if you want to be competitive and have active players. Hatti won a conference title in AAA and EARNED their way into the Pros. No way should they be demoted!!
