I missed the build before it was retired, what was wrong with your safety misled and why didn't 61/61/61 work?

because you end up with wasted training and having to pour sp's into these spd/agi/vis again later on to keep up. It's more efficient and better to go straight to 68 at least in those specific categories because you're not going to waste training and you'll have a more efficient build around lvl 40. I think the argument for 61/61/61 is short sighted and will not properly develop later on in the career. THINK LONG TERM. It's great for the short term... but later on it's not so hot.

Cool.

Although personally I wouldn't even want 68 in all of those attributes. It may be questionable keeping vision this low on my SS, but I'm happy with his performance with 79/61/53:

No 61/61/61/ is obviously the best way to go. It makes you good at level 32. You can also use those extra sp's rather than getting Speed, agility, vision up to 68 or 74, which is retarded, You can invest in things like blocking and punting, which helps you more in the long wrong.

I'm a personal fan of Throwing for Safety's.... How are you supposed to judge passes when you can't pass good?
Punting is a great choice too as you stated because it obviously helps make the other team punt more.

Yeah, and someone once said Punting helps you kick more butt. That was a wise man.

well personally I would go higher in speed... but I think the minimum before you move onto anything else is 68.

Vision you don't always have to take to 68... if you're hard hitting run stopping safety then I agree... vision should be low. But now we're getting into utility builds where I really don't like divulging my secrets too much. :\

I'd still have 60 vision on any safety, hard hitter or not.

seems more than reasonable.

taking sped to 73 right off the bat is probably a good idea, although i doubt you have to do it.

I took my SS to 68, and 60 vision. And now working on strength for a long time.

I'm going to other way with mine. I'm taking my SS STR and TACK up high first. Then the Speed and Agility. I'm hoping EQ focuses will be able to make up ground for some of the training lost in speed, while the heavy advantage in STR and TACK being worth it in FF and the like.

Though I have my doubts, it's a good experiment. Even if I end up retiring at lvl 40, I'll be able to better use what I learn in build strategies later on. Despite what some on the forums may think, I still don't believe the perfect safety build has been discovered. Hopefully these results will yield some more facts.

There isn't and never will be a perfect build because the game is constantly evolving.
