We seed the tourney in order of standard tiebreakers (wins, losses, ties, points differential, etc),

So teams from conferences with gutted teams will get seeded really high, whatever.

Honestly I could of saw reasoning for OFG not to get in after a loss to OTR, but the whole HHW/MEM/WW/MM grouping pushed it. There's some value to losing to high quality opponent's in the playoffs that was being ignored.

I agree with what you are saying. But this tournament to me is really a step down from the current PWT.

I'm not sure how else Bort could seed the teams w/o a seeding committee's opinionated input. At this point level is just about out the window.

How does another tournament make GLB better?

IMO, Bort took the easy way out.

Idk I think it's a bigger step towards a built in tourney system that auto-schedules games, tracks statistics, etc.

But is that really that much better than what we currently have? Look, I'm not really upset about the tourney....but Bort promised a World League and he didn't deliver.

Blame Wrath Of Conor for building the hype under false assumptions. Bort didn't build the hype or make all these 'promises'.

Why not bow tie the whole freaking game? I don't get what makes this so difficult! Get rid of the geopgraphical affiliations and if you get relegated to a Pro League (remember no geographical affiliation) so be it. This way you only go back to one of two leagues.

This will lead to less complaining and in the end will smooth it self out. Imagine a HUGE NCAA tourney bracket, problem solved.

P.S. I know this would cause some turmoil at first because you can't really have 8 leagues feeding into the main league, but let people bitch for a little about that....it will work perfectly in the end!

edit, need to read more better.

One thing that could make it better IMO is group stages like the PWT we have now. 3 extra games, and you make sure you don't get eliminated from just having one bad sim.

Yeah, expanding it to 128 teams (all Pro League playoff teams) would be nice as well, despite being more taxing. Something tells me things need to be worked further on a solid tourney structure to not leave anyone out

How about the game is a tourney structure, except for instead of individual games its by leagues. Conference winners go up, conference losers go down.

Playoffs = 4 game tournament
This = 6 game tournament

WPL would've been interesting at least. This seems lame as hell. I like PWT better anyways.
