It's a snowball effect. If you win, recruiting becomes easier, which makes it easier to win.

If you lose, no one wants to join your team, so you suck even worse, causing recruiting to be even harder.

That's quite bullshit tbh. None here is really a bad team, you just need to make some key adjustments. Compton did it, too bad we couldn't find an OC at all this season.

Also... USA Pro teams can recruit way easier at all, doesn't matter if you are bottom or elite. Obviously, you should use different arguments to get a free agent in tho. Anyway, I don't blame people for giving up doing it, after all, it's only an online game and not even I am up to do it all alone just to get us there.

definitely agree up until now. This league is your best selling point.

although World League will hurt the USAPL recruiting pull.

If I were a star player though I would pick a remaining elite USAPL team over a lousy World team, though.

I got to agree...Can't remember the team names anymore, but there were a handful of perennial non PO teams here for a while. One of them was just flat out bad, being on the edge of demotion for 3-4 ssns (the team that somehow got Bort to jump them a couple leagues), but they brought in a bunch of new dots almost every ssn. Sure, the very top teams have an easier time recruiting, but even the worst USAP team can get damn good dots. IMO, the problem typically involves who they recruit, seemingly minor details of how the team is run/setup and OC/DCing.

For example:

http://goallineblitz.com/game/team.pl?season=10&team_id=16

S2: 4-12
S3: 7-9
S4:10-6, 1st round loss to the Aces
S5: 11-5, 1st round loss to BSB
S6 11-5, 2nd round loss to HHW
S7 12-4, West championship

Hard, yes…impossible? No

And PP, you are talking about the Philadelphia Continentals I believe.

Yeah....That's it. If they could enter every ssn with 10-30 new dots, anyone here can. Each ssn they got significantly better than the last. It didn't show on their records, due to being tremendously under talented (compared to USAP) when they somehow got Bort to move them up, but each ssn they were significantly harder to beat, due to recruiting...And, what, did they ever have more than 3 Ws to show for it? So, it sure wasn't their record that was the key to them recruiting better talent each ssn.

You forget though, the reason the best teams are where they are at are due to many things, first and foremost someone started the team and brought in the players and GMs. Thus being a very good recruiter...or having a lot of money...is the #1 key to success. MEM is a perfect example. CV is one of, if not the best recruiters in the game.

You said it yourself earlier - you struggled to keep up collectively on the coordinating side of things. There's your answer.

There's also the reason I'm retiring from the Wolfpack. This is my last season as a coordinator.

Well its less of a big deal in USA Pro, but players will still try to get to the best team that they can in general. Teams in the lower leagues that start the death spiral rarely recover.

In USA Pro, its pretty tough to get a player that a better team is competing for. Your best hope is to have no other solid teams after the player.
