It's true...the Offensive AI doesn't have actual bugs in it. I had one for my Tonga team. I called for 80% runs on 1st and 2nd down for an entire game. And I ran exactly 1 time the whole game....lol. And I gave access to at least 10 people, including a bug mod and non one could find an error.
Eventually, one guy helped me out and said that my AI was possibly too large. Meaning too many inputs and way too many outputs for each input. But I wanted it that way so I could just change percentages to get a different outcome. I deleted a lot of the outputs set to 0 and reloaded it and I didn't have any more problems. Maybe you should try the same thing. Doesn't explain why it happens, but it may help.
this was an issue around season 6. I experienced this myself. Once Bort increased the value range, I have not had an issue since.

The Defensive Tester correctly shows that the 5WR defense should be called. I have found many instances where I have fucked up the AI, but this is not one of them.

I don't know what you are talking about, what defense is that? There's a lot of play's that are labeled as 5WR defense. That's my point is you aren't explaining what you have as your settings and what your labels are, not to mention if you have shifts on or altered those plays or if it is self-created play, there's no way to reconcile what you have on your screen based upon the info you have given us.
