Well, I got all the East matchups right last time but only one out of the West. Let's see if I can do better this week.

Well, I showed my ignorance last week. But I watched the first games of the playoffs closely so I should at least get one out of the two.


EAST
1 Cleveland Gladiators 24
5 Chocolate City Cha Chings 18

2 Las Vegas Flyin Elvis 31
3 Miami Brawlers 23

We haven't been playing our A game lately. It has been enough to win but it keeps me up at night. There have been rumors that Bernie Kosar Jr was taking cash bribes to throw the game from some bookies in Miami. We will be watching him closely this game ready to pull the hook at any time. Out of all the teams I have played in the East I realy like the guys from Chocolate City. I wish we didn't have to play them yet. I would have rather played them for the East championship. But we are going to do our best to send them home. Las Vegas had Miami's number last time. I think they are going to get them again since Las Vegas has looked very strong in their last few games and Miami looks to have peaked several games ago. That's too bad because my guys would have loved a rematch so we could shut those guys up. At least till they started talking about the bugs in the game that made them lose.

By "bugs in the game" you must be referring to ATL, not us. Again, you talk as if CCC has already been eliminated by you guys. I'd give them more credit then that. Funny you say Las Vegas had our number, while they controlled the game through the ground we did our part to hurt ourselves by drops and fumbles. Doesn't matter, what was in the past was in the past. Don't know about "peaked few games ago". I'll be more then happy winning a game right now 6-3 as I would 52-0. We both have a tough challenge ahead, if we do happen to meet in the finals, the gloves are off my friend!!

Possible reasons:

1] The lower seeded team just plain pulled off an upset
2] The lower level team, more likely than not, saved their boosts for the end of the year and boosted just before their first playoff game (See: Minnesota Lumberjacks)
3] The lower level team had a gameplan which worked seamlessly
4] Playoff bug

The only way for the Longhorns to win this game is to ensure they do what they did in the last game, which was throw to the side of the field Dweezil is not on.

If you could see our locker room discussion, you'd know that we don't feel like it's a given. We're treating them as if we were the underdog. Should we win, we'll do the same for the winner between Las Vegas/Miami.
