My Level 57 CB never gets thrown at either. He has never eclipsed 50 tackles which is a good thing I think. The way I see it is the more tackles you have, the more receptions you are giving up. What disturbs me though is pass deflections. I have very good jumping and catching attributes while having a catching bonus as well. Yet, I only have 1 INT this season.

Why would a CB with such high jumping and catching attributes only have 1 INT to 30+ PD?

Because catching is worthless for CB's and jumping is an attribute that's being matched by many WR's.

This actually pissess me off. Why in the world would catching be worthless for a CB? But JD, you seem to be right. There have been times this season where my CB jumped the WR's route being in perfect position for a pick 6. Then he deflects a pass (which should have been caught) and the WR still makes the reception. Why are WR getting the benefit of the doubt on everything?

so the key to ints is actually "Jumping"?

I doubt it since my CB with 68 jumping has just 3 this year. He had 68 jumping all of last season too, and he had 1 INT.

I'm thinking CB interceptions are related mostly to opponent, coverage style (Aggressive), slider setting, and speed. I would guess INT % would fit in there somewhere. I think INT's are the only reason, at the moment, to have a speed demon CB (besides ST).

IMO if your CB has a ton of tackles that means he's getting beat by the WR
If the ball never comes your way you've got the WR pretty well covered.
Personally I don't care if I get INT's, I just don't want to give up the big play or TD's.

That's not 100% true....I will show you some examples of my CB and his tackles. Most of his tackles don't come from tackling the guy he let catch the ball,( some are though) most come in run support or jumping the route of another man's assignment

These are just few plays but I see where your coming from. I look at the game and say holy crap he had 4 or 5 tackles what was my dot doing. Then I look at the game tape and usually when he has a lot of tackles it's because of plays like these.

Yeah, I can't believe we're in Season 10 and we're still debating this.

I keep track of everything with my lvl 56 CB and when you take out his tackles versus runs, special teams, and other defenders' men, he only has about half left.

It's a cycle we're going to see as long as we play the game. New players will come in and discover the stuff that the vets already know. Then those new players will become vets, and the new new players will come in and start the cycle over. I would write a guide, so that they can just come in and find out all the information that we have, but I think one of the most fun parts of the game is to figure all this stuff out.

I hate the PD's that are receptions, drives me nuts. Doesn't happen to often, but when it does...

Anyway, I always felt in real life that CB's were just converted WR's who either weren't that great at catching or who were strong enough to provide good run support. Yes, not nessecaily true in all cases, but a common occurence. IMO

Whatever...how about you compare you level 57 c.b. to my level 40 corner back. they look pretty much the same. The build might be your problem. you don't know how to.
