WARNING: We haven't even started passing aggressively yet, so good luck in trying to win the prize! (and prize does not count for ringers that get traded in to win the title, contest only eligible for those that play all 16 games here this year)

does anyone else find this sad. The writer of the GLB guides team has fallen so far that his only hope at grabbing some small bit of glory is to have a wr (all be it a great wr) win the yardage title. Oh the mighty have fallen

well having a free money contest to get somebody to try and compete makes it a lot harder, if i was trying to lock down that title why offer the money? I'm just trying to have some fun with adding something interesting just cause i'm bored, if you don't care about this then move along and ignore it and let the other people who care to play and to try have fun with it rather than make some case for why i'm sad just so you can send negative comments my way, that is what's sad, is you can't let me make any post without trying to drag me through the mud somehow, you are a very small and sad man.

And your phrase about the mighty falling is nicely out of context. Usually when somebody falls it's because they are at fault or no longer good and reaching their demise. That's not the case with our team. We are not being beat by anybody, I just refuse to participate in playing this sillyball game, has nothing to do with being a falling team that can't hang with you guys, it's just an indifference to caring what teams can do with a 50 man roster and not wanting to participate in this ridiculous abortion. We're not playing the same game that YOU are playing and we haven't fallen one centimeter. We are right on pace with exactly where I intended for us to be and we are doing our job our way and everything on my end has been handled as it has needed to be. We are perfectly in tune with what we should be doing.

You record has fallen..You might not care about the game anymore and as a result your teams W/L record has taken a large step back from where you used to be. This is your fault. You decided to be the only person in the game to make the concept of having a 55 man roster a deep morale issue. The mere fact that you still post here means YOU are also still playing the game, poorly, but still playing in some way shape or form.

I still think it's rather humorous that you use the excuse of the roster size of your opponents for your lack of success as opposed to your lack of skill as a game planner and talent evaluator being the cause of your squads downfall. I actually believe that you have somehow convinced yourself that this is the truth.

BTW I guess when you had a 48 man roster in season 6 or a 49 an roster in season 7 you weren't disgusted by the concept of having more than a 40 man roster as you claim to be today.

My little brother does this when i visit my family on holidays. We'd be playing madden or wii and as soon as i start whooping his ass, he claims he isn't trying anymore. However, if he has the lead, it's all serious. It's all very convenient. The only way to prove it is to win i guess.

that's interesting you say that because I played NCAA 10 demo with my little cousin and it went the exact opposite. I was just fooling around and trying new stuff to see what worked and what didn't worked. And he was beating me pretty good. Though honestly, I wasn't trying to actually win. I just wanted to see how the game played compared to 09. And he started bragging that I told hi mhe'd never beat me in a football game because I played real football and he didn't.

And he actually brought that up for years ago when I told him that. I tried to tell him that i wasn't playing serious and just feeling the game out...he said well play for real then. Went on to paste him by 40 in the 2 min quarters allowed.

But, in the subject...yes proving it is the only way to know for sure.

You guys are ridiculous, I never said I wasn't trying, I am trying, I log on every day to poke around and I look every day for players to send offers to, I have always done that, this has nothing to do with not trying. Playing this game has turned into a recruiting button mashing game, and I'm just not doing that. I'm still trying to do my job, just not taking it to the extreme of trying to max out the ridiculous roster size. If the roster limit was 48 players then I might care to do that, but at 55 it's not even worth my time, I have no interest because that is so excessively absurd.

Honestly, to make the game the most fun I think we should play with a 35 man roster, cause that way each player would get a lot more action and have more importance in each game, and then it would come down more and more to who has the best builds and tactics, so the lowest number possible that can make up a full football team is what I think would be most fun. It would make it far more about strategy. The larger the number you have, the bigger percentage of the game comes from just having the numbers, and it's more interesting if you can make the game a very challenging thinking man's game. To me that would be really fun.

Did the same thing a few christmases ago on ncaa 05 or 06 when visiting home. My little brother is only 12 but thought he was hot shit because i was goofing around trying reverses and flea flickers one game. Once he started talking trash about how great he was and how he beats his friends all the time and that i must stink, i went on to dust him like you said. Feels so good to put your younger siblings/cousins in their place

TSE- Why not play a 11 man roster and ironman it?

Cause it would only be fun if everybody else did it with me so we are all playing on an even level with no built in advantages, but an ironman league is a fun idea I would be happy to sign up for that if it was an option, it would be more fun than playing in the 55 man league.

TSE, with a 35 man roster the teams with the best builds would win, not the best strategists, that seems to be the opposite of what you want. A 45 to 48 man roster would work, but I really don't see the big problem with 55. Reducing it with seven to ten players would take away a couple of backups and special teams players, meaning that the only change is that the starters would be more tired since they would have to take some ST snaps.

The game might be better with a 40 or 45 man roster, or even 35 but I don't think that's necessary. Your argument does start with a valid point. Maybe if you were to make this point without blowing the impact totally out of proportion, you'd get a little more support and a lot fewer people laughing at you.

Because claiming that a small difference in the roster cap size is having that much impact on the enjoyability game is just that -- laughable.

Blowing out of proportion? Man I think if anything I've hardly scratched the surface. The effects are huge and they affect everything, all the way down to players going inactive and leaving the game, to further contributions to more teams that can't or don't want to compete and have to gut eventually creating more disparity in the game, and it's an absolute massive effect with a 55 man roster on detrimental impacts that it has on the entire GLB game, I can't understand why others don't follow that connection.

You are offering advice on how to gain support for my idea? Well that's not what this is about, I'm not campaigning for anything or trying to get anybody to agree, I was just stating my opinion as the subject came up. I don't believe that Bort is going to drop down to a 40 or 35 man roster no matter what way I go about explaining the idea or trying to gather support around it, it's not a battle or a war that I'm trying to win or intending to be a part of. If people want to laugh, that's not relevant to the topic or the subject nor could I care. I don't know why they continue to laugh, but that's up to them, their irrational and illogical emotional reactions to me are of not my concern, as I find no relevance or place no value in those that don't take me seriously or act professionally or with courtesy, so it doesn't really matter, thus I am not going to do anything consciously to try and get them to not laugh at me.

Ok sweet, I guess I'll start applying my saved SP points! IceCold has I think 20 SPs in the bank himself.
