because in my opinion it's not a top3-option for a FS.
i moved my equipment around and couldn't tell, if my FS (http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=67282) had +6 in vision or -6. granted, his vision is still pretty high.

Too many good VAs for safeties to spend 10-15 on football genius just for like a 3point vision bonus or whatever it works out to be

It works out to be about 5.5 points, i'll take that every single play

Yeah, for me 15 in FBGenius is 5.5 points, or over 25 sp. I'll take that, even if I can understand why others wouldn't.

I think i'm going to do football genius for my SS but with my FS ballhawk, sure tackler, zone specialist, and jackhammer are too necessary for me. I think jackhammer is a must for all safeties and sure tackler isn't a sexy VA and won't help you with lots of stats but i can't stand letting a tackle get by and give up a TD. Zone specialist isn't that important for an SS since they're not in zone as often as a FS. Will probably replace that with football genius for my SS

I hear you about the hating missed tackles thing. I'm currently rocking a 2.17:1 tackles made to missed ratio, which probably makes me one of the worst tackling FSs in USAPL. I'm working on it, but it's hard to get too bent about, as most of those misses come in big gangbangs where my MsTk simply means another 1-2 yds. Last season, Sure Tackler would have likely moved 9 tackles into the win column for me, but I'm still not sure that's enough to justify 15 VP.

Well, it's not just about the missed tackle stat but also if i'd really hate to miss a tackle on a long run that resulted in a 50yd TD or something like that or missing a tackle on a key 3rd down stop my team needs. It's not a sexy VA in terms of individual stats or glory, but i think it's helpful for teams.

Although, i experimented a bit and ran the first part of this season on normal tackling and missed far too many tackles (most were powerthroughs/spins though which i'm not sure one can stop if activated) but am gonna play him on wrap up some more. Have some ideas on what i want to do with my next level up in terms of cutting those missed tackles down.
