As someone else said, if Santiago did move to USAPL, it would do a lot to kill the need for any sort of World League.

May as well do it. I dunno why they stay in SA. Oh wait, I know, its because they can autopilot 34 days a season or so.

they do play in tourneys ya know...

US Pro will have to wait a while. We already played Gamblers and Honolulu for it.

Meh, no big deal. I think most people know the history. I think we (meaning myself and the Benitos organization) have always acted appropriately when we have been allied with other teams.

As for the trophy, we are playing Drinkin in a few days. After that point, assuming we are still in the PWT & have the title, I am willing to offer a title shot to every eligible PWT team we play.

Benitos are the best team EVER in GLB plain and simple. Havoc is the best owner in GLB by far and now that he is concentrating on the Benitos only no one will touch them in SAPL or in any tourney (cept maybe Monmouth ). If they were in USA Pro the would be fine. If he was still Running the AI at WSI they would be 1-1 this year.

I said this last year year about Parma, it wasn't the dots it was the guy pushing the dots buttons. So far that statement has been true.

I can buy into him being 'the best owner' but best team ever? Nope.

I'd like to see what happens to their franchise if they actually had to game plan 4-5 games a week in order to win (if not get embarassed) for 3 seasons in a row, instead of 1 game every 4-5 days like they have pretty much all along. It's easier to win tournaments when you don't have to focus on league first.

I may not be overly fond of how WSI got over here, but I mean at least they took on the challenge, volunteered for it.
Not to mention they (Benitos) haven't even won their own league title since S7. Thats not good.

I don't dislike them in the least, I have a ton of respect for what they HAVE done - winning the PWT is no joke and a first class achievement regardless of the league you come from.
As far as the traveling trophy, I can only speak for myself, but I'd want nothing to do with it. More 'work' in this game? No thanks. I'm doing much more then I'd like as it is.

In real football as well as in dotball...its all about gameplanning... At least Bort got one thing right.

There are some OC's better than Havoc and a few DC's better. Bottom line is no one is better a both than he is.

He has become a house bound agoraphobe because of his desire to attain this level of success at dotball. I for one think it was worth it.

I know what you meant Coach. All time best? I'm not buying. One of the top 3 or 4? Absolutely.
I'd be far more inclined to say you guys were the best- although the inability to win a Pro title or two here kinda gimps the argument to some extent.

PWT was always a secondary consideration for me in gameplanning. So is every other tournament not named league.
3 seasons ago I was all gung ho for tournaments because league play wasn't challenging much. But after a couple seasons grind up here I've come around to understanding why PP and Green Bay never did these things.

Valid points bro. Hell, trust me if we had a gold USA trophy I would argue we were the best team ever based on body of work....BUT we don't and the Nighthawks and Yeti's broke up so, greatest team ever is the Benitos IMO

I guess the difference - what I mean above^ is that when I have a league match and a PWT/Hazy/you name it opponent...I don't plan for them. I plan for the league, and hope and pray that I can still beat the team in the tourney with the same gameplan. These guys its pretty much the opposite. They don't have to worry about their schedule in league (with rare exception)

Look at WSI now. They will be very successful in USA Pro, I have no doubt. We're all getting our lulz out with them starting slow but that's all it is. They will adjust to the grind and be another title contender here. They will also begin to realize how difficult it is to look at tournaments the way they used to, in lolOceania.

It's not disrespect for Santiago, they are certainly one of the all time greats...but that's as far as this fella's opinion goes
