Should be Marblehead.
We will have to see on Day 5. That's when the game is. Both teams were testing and it showed.

Sack up and have the play in game. I don't think any runner up should just be given a spot, make them earn it. Both owners seem to be for it which is cool.. if only their agents would follow their competitive lead. I agree completely that the two teams playing for it would be the league runner up and conference runner up.. makes perfect sense. I'd hate to see it given to a previous season winner automatically because 1 season can make a huge difference.
Anyway... good call on the play in... should be a great game and one I'm looking forward too as an old CPL co-owner.

Marblehead's forum has a thread about it, in which Tex explains it all.
http://goallineblitz.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=2820469&page=1 (most people won't be able to read it, I'm posting it for Resolute)
Since you asked, I'll tell you my personal opinion. It's a really hard situation and there are reasons that can go both ways here.
Drinkin has season 8's Gold Trophy. Marblehead has season 9's Silver Trophy. Gold Trophy is better than Silver Trophy (adv. Drinkin), but season 9 is more recent and means more than season 8 (adv. Marblehead).
We can also consider that Drinkin' has 11 players from the season 9 Champions SFSF (QB Johnny Cash, FB Richard Banks, OT The Blob, TE Balisardo Consuelo, DT Douglas McWallson, DE Johnny Chan, DE Three Putt, LB Clubber Lang, CB Barry Allen, FS Rodion Raskolnikov and K Roxetz Rodriguez) , while Marblehead has only 2 (FB J.D. Baines, WR Tyler Jutte - also had a third one for a while, HB Tyler Barabash). The point here is that Drinkin is currently the team that represents season 9 CPL champions the most, having a lot more former SFSF players than Marblehead does.
However, while both teams lost to the SFSF, Marblehead kept it a lot closer (6-point loss x 94-point loss), so you can say Marblehead showed they are more capable of representing CPL.
To sum it up, I feel that both teams have strong reasons to represent CPL. I must admit I didn't get filled with joy when I suddenly found out Drinkin's granted spot (at first, I read on Drinkin's forum that SFSF's spot would be given to the season 8 champions, Drinkin) became a play-in game against Marblehead, a great team that can take us down any given sunday.
However, after seeing Tex and Stobie came to that agreement by themselves, I felt it was fair and pretty much the only nice solution to the situation. I mean, considering the fact that there are people from Drinkin on Marblehead's forum and there are people from Marblehead on Drinkin's forum, all giving advices to each other (I read on the former SFSF forum Stobie helped Tex against the Beans on CPL East CCG), I think we could consider ourselves friends and Stobie, Tex and everyone else on either team should try to see this from the "we" perspective, rather than the "me" one.
Both owners did, and we're having the play-in game. May the best team win!
