Kind of funny that some people think that spending $500 is a lot of money. Like some here have posted, that can be a night out at a show (strip or broadway). Us office workers, IT here, also have a decent amount of freetime in front of a PC.

$500 and lots of time says to me, succesful and office working. Not pizza delivery boy living in mom's basement.

I don't know why people are on his ass about this, it is his choice and his money, let him do what he wants. He's also pretty cool because he gave me some advice

let's not be rediculous. 500$ is allot of money no matter how you slice it, it cost me 350 to get my driveway tarred, 500 buys a low end PC, 500 buys a sweet upgrade to your car sound system, depending on the house it pays for cable, phone, heat, internet, electricity in a month(and a few cases of beer). The point is, it's all relative, you play to win with what you got, don't be jelous, don't be a kiss ass, just compete, honor your teamates and respect your opponent. It's life 101, do what you can with what you have, at every level it has an impact in relation to the effort you put into it. This thread is DOA, move on.

do i think its a lot? yes, do i still drop $200 everytime i'm at the strip club? yes

having the money to blow is also more the point, $500 will pay my cable, gas, electric, cell phone, internet, ect... but i make ~$4000 a month (pretax) and my wife clears another $2000-3000 (once she changes to commission) so disposable income isnt in short supply

Happy for you , that's the whole point, it's all relative and it has no bearing on what each of us do here, so this whole thread is a waste of time, some people beg money off their parents to play, some to play this as 1 guy 2 guys, 10 guys, plus paying for WoW or Connan, some own a house and pay after the cable bill, or after strippers, or before strippers, some decide this will be all their disposable income, or buying the whole damn game is like going for an ice cream down the street, it doesn't matter. At all.

which by the way i need to get off my ass and start playing - lucked into a sweet guild but been out too much with the wife lately to sit down have have a few 12 hour grind session to get past my lvl 20 hump haha

YEs it is, a few days ago, nice article in PCGamer, I agonized over trying it, but 50$ and 15$ a month is to much cash and time investment when all my bro's are waiting for Warhammer in Q4(and I need a PC upgrade ), when I join an MMO I join my guild for Years(to loyal). The Realm, Monarchy Online, EQ, WoW, 2+ years each. If anyone here is waiting for Warhammer give us a ring, if your not a douchebag you'll get in our guild hehe. Casual centric for us people with lives to deal with, with some aspirations of organized success.

Have I ever heard of your guild? Can I join? Are they cool guys?

Oh well - Guess I still dont have time to do another game - but I have high hopes for Connan

Honestly, good for you that you can manage all that, but wtf. Your the reason I dont like this game as much as I could. It would be a lot funner without people dropping $500+ on this game, I hate you for the same reason I hate the Red Sox and Yankees. Play the game, dont buy it.
