Lol!

It is way too harsh to change the rules on people who bought Pro League teams, thinking they had a good chance of staying up this year and giving themselves time to build a competitive roster.

It is what is is. If you don't like it, tough cookies.

Winning to move up doesn't mean as much right now when there are some teams that are in the wrong division. Once it balances out it will mean something, but right now there are teams in the Pro league that wouldn't be making the playoffs even if they were in AA. They should be moved. If they are worthy of being Pro League then they can earn their way back up. Seems crazy to think anyone is entitled to be here just because that's where the team was initially slotted. It'd be nice if we could get some ownership consensus on realignment.

3 wins or less should get bumped to AA.
4 wins should be dropped to AAA.

Does anyone really believe we wouldn't be a better league adding these teams:
Krakatoan Red Warriors 16-0-0 W21
Seattle Seabirds 16-0-0 W16
Utopia Cobras 15-1-0 W6
Ho Chi Mean Hot Mamas 15-1-0 W8
Manila Warlords 14-2-0 W4
Cagayan Rattlers 13-3-0 W7
Singapore Marauders 13-3-0 W10

and dropping these teams down:
Metro Heroes 3-12-0 W1
Holbrook Roadrunners 3-12-0 L7
Jeanland Jeaniacs 2-13-0 L13
Bangkok Gamecocks 1-14-0 L11
oQuarterback Press 1-14-0 W1
Shanghai Shaolin Monks 1-14-0 L12
Portland Dirty Penguins 0-15-0 L21

Very good post.

The Manila Warlords are looking to win the Championship and move up under the established rules but we still think that things should be change to balance out the leagues. Beating up on teams 120-0 is really just stupid.

That is moronic. It is just a matter of time before these uncompetitive teams get bumped down and the cream rises to the top. But, if you are getting beat game in and game out- I wish you all the luck in recruiting/retaining players to make a competitive roster. You are going to need it.

Then win your league

We will sure try. That still wont bring the other 6 teams that are more talented than most of the pro division teams into pro's where they belong. Its not an ego thing. Its a balance issue. We want to be in a league where we have to fight to win every game. And it cant be any fun to be on the wrong side of a 147-0 romp.

Unfortunately...this game wouldn't last if the admins just allowed people to move to where they thought they belonged. You guys will just have to have another year of "killing teams" if you don't manage to move up this year and just do it the year after. It will take a year or two but it will even out and extreme changes are NOT the answer and don't set a good precedence for the future.

well in our defence, our owner bought a crap cpu team in a pro league over half way thru the season. Are we competitive? not yet Have we started to turn it around? Look at our last 2 games. Do we think we are pro level? again not yet. As for recruiting and signing players? We are building ours from the ground up. We have a solid group and we do love a challenge. Yes we are getting regulated down this year. Thats not a bad thing in our opnion, but our ultimate goal is to come back in a season or two and show that we belong with the big boys. Each and everyone of us on the team has the same goal. Besides if it was easy anyone could do it. So before you go and dump us into the "crap team" label, let us actually play together for a full season. THEN make your call if we are crap or not. Cuz these penguins might just put a boot in your ass.

I'm open to whatever the rules are regarding re-alignment.. (whether it's bottom 2 or 4 , or 6 move down a level)...

I have to interject here though..

Our owner picked the pro league this season (we were an expansion team) because he just wanted to see how we would fare against some really good teams.

We started this season being a good 3-6 levels behind on every position, and we took our lumps in the first 7 games, but ended up with 5 wins so far. If we were to get bumped down to AAA or whatever, I wouldn't really care. We are building our team the right way, and have a very cool user forum where our players can give advice to the GM's as far as what strategy might work best for each game.. Our chemistry is good, and everyone seems to be having a fun time with this site.

What's funny to me is all these people bitching about being in AA or AAA, and how they want to move up to the Pro level because they are entitled to do so.. this entire site is maybe 3 or 4 months old people!! There isn't that much difference between the level 15 guys in AAA, and the level 17 guys in Pro.. Win your league and you'll get your just reward. If you want to swap places with a lower level Pro team even though you don't win your league you are entitled to offering them a cash incentive or whatever to get them to move down. That's totally fine if that's what you want to do to move up if you don't finish in the top two or whatever.

I don't think this is so much of an ego thing. The people in season one that got a trophy icon for their team for being in AA or AAA should be proud of that..

sorry clarification:

The people in season one that got a trophy icon for their team for being the champ in AA or AAA should be proud of that..

We don't know what Bort and DD are thinking, so we will have to wait and see what's in plan for balancing the leagues.

Well this game is still in beta, and the admins should take the players' criticism into consideration in order to work out the flaws in this site.

Bort should have a owners' opinion survey lol.

I can't speak for the other owners, but I don't feel any sense of "entitlement" one way or another. The simple fact is that with the expansion teams coming into SEA as they did, the leagues became very unbalanced. There are Pro Teams on the level of AA and vice versa. We should keep in mind that "Pro", except in USA, is really nothing more than a three letter label. Southeast Asia Pro teams, if my memory serves, were created at the exact same time as Southeast Asia AAA, AA, and A teams. So in terms of talent, there should really be no difference, overall, between those squads.

Yes, the leagues will sort themselves out. But we could certainly help that along if owners volunteered to do so. I don't think anyone has really suggested forcing Pro Teams down a notch or two. It's just an idea, if the expansion teams (or other teams that had trouble competing at the Pro level) wished to do so.

Whether my league says Pro, AAA, AA, or A next year, I really don't care. My team will play whoever is on our schedule. I'd just prefer that most of those games be competitive, which they were not this season.
