I think we both answered the question
Not really because compared to everything Tackling is actually needed less Add str agility and vision. It comes out way more than tackling. Plus str agility and vision together do so much more for your player.
So what your saying is, you're better off splitting your skill points between two or three attributes rather than putting them in one being tackling. Correct?
uhhhhh. for defense if your speed, agility, and str aren't respectable tackling won't do crap for you.
One thing tackling does is help you tackle.
One thing str does is help you tackle, it also does about 5 other things in game.
As far as a LB goes what are the 5 other things? LB has to know where ball carrier is going (vision), get there (speed/agility), and make the tackle (tackle/str). What are other things LBs do besides tackle.
Play man coverage - No STR needed to do that
Zone Coverage - Still no STR
Take on blocks - some STR, but not being a DT I would expect to have tatics set to evasive so it would be more agility and speed.
Bitz - again evasive so more agility.
Now Im not saying strength isnt important, it depends on the position. MLBs will need more STR as they take on Oline more. OLBs will not need as much str.
