If you are NOT going to sell your current AEQ set to get the cash to finish your normal EQ upgrades, I would suggest NOT putting any BT into them either...
The only piece you have which may be "ok" really is your Agility piece, and unless that gives you a decent SA bonus on an appropriate tree, you may find better use for tokens on a piece you can buy when you get team money after switching teams in s.11. Use your max xp playing time on that human owned, but mostly CPU team, you are stuck on to gain as many levels as you can, and as many BT as you can; that team isn't going to win much anyway, so why kill yourself trying to put up big stats now, right?
So I'd save my BT until you can get on a team which will give you the chance to find BETTER AEQ (and definately NO use of BT for player attribute upgrades!), and the tokens you've saved will go a long way toward upgrading a NEW AEQ piece to equivalency with your normal EQ.
