No offense to anyone involved, but my back is ridiculous. lol

Lets just make sure we're looking at the same thing. BnG has 15 more broken tackles then Branson on 137 less touches but Branson is still the better back? That seems like a stretch in my opinion but to each his own.

It took you like 4 seasons to get that back, lets compare my back in his fourth season to your back now. It won't even be a match.

I'm assuming it must be at least 90 or you wouldn't be so excited about it.

We have two backs. One combo, one elusive. Branson gets 41 plays a game on average. Vanity gets 39.8. So that argument is moot. Furthermore, what does team composition (the fact that you have elusive/power) have to do with each individual back? If you replaced either of your backs with mine, your team would be better for it.

How do you consider broken tackles to be the appropriate barometer when you're outdone in YPC, touchdowns, and yards? Sure, it has some weight but my point is... if my combo back gets slightly less broken tackles but gets around people far easier without having to break their tackle, how is yours better? Doesn't add up.

Well, the great thing is that we'll get to see how they do tomorrow. If Branson goes for 25 YPC against us tomorrow then I'll agree that he's the better back. Until then I chalk it up to an owner that puts his player in position to put up crazy numbers against teams that are totally overmatched. He's clearly a great back, but there's no reason to go all uber-arrogant about it. If there's one thing that ticks me off it's that. That and pube-eating (ericarnold86).

Thanks for reading my posts and responding with logic. Branson has 20 ypc on the season. That's why he dominates all.

Maybe, but I have global O rank of 65. If you have higher in your 4th season, bravo. Age is obviously irrelevant if we're the same level and competing.

Just arrogant because this is a league forum and I'm proud of having the best player in the conference. I sat on him for 4 seasons, if I wasn't satisfied now it'd be pretty shitty, no? I doubt he'll get 25 YPC, but he hasn't gotten below 5, even in games where we lost by 60 and didn't game plan. Pulling the "owner that puts his player in position" card is silly. He gets 41 plays a game. Is that really unreasonable? So we're a run-first team. Everyone is in 13 caps or they're stupid and lose. If I didn't pick plays that he does well in I'd be a fool.

I'm sure you could guess.

As a final word, I'd just like to say: Just because I say my player is good (or if he is good or not) has nothing to do with whether or not your players are good. I'm not saying yours are bad, just that mine is better.

Age is absolutely the only relevant factor in this game, anyone that hasnt realized this yet should get their school money refunded.

I'm done with the arguing. It's almost gametime. I don't know how this turned into a "Branson for President" thread but whatever. Oh, and don't even get me started on the guy bragging about how good his HB is going to be in 4 seasons. Let's discuss him in 4 seasons when he's relevant....not now, when he's not.

Can we redo the MVP voting?

Vanity Smurf - 28 carries for 520.5 yards and 9 TD (18.6 YPC)

Ahmad "Fire" Bradshaw - 19 carries for 319 yards and 4 TD (16.8 YPC)

Branson "The Sledge" Faulkner - 12 carries for 82.5 yards and 1 TD (6.9 YPC)

http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=585778

Now granted, Sledge had to go up against the Postal Defense all game long, but still...come on. Yeah, I think we'll hang onto Vanity and Fire. If we need a 3rd running back we'll let you know.

For posterity's sake:
Attributes
Physical Attributes
Strength: 58.1
Speed: 87.1
Agility: 62.1
Jumping: 32.3
Stamina: 31.3
Vision: 29.1
Confidence: 28.1

Football Skills
Blocking: 14.3
Catching: 14.3
Tackling: 8
Throwing: 14.3
Carrying: 49.1
Kicking: 8
Punting: 8

If my entire O line was getting a pancake on every run play he'd be getting those stats as well. Or even just the center, as we saw all season long.
