If I could interject:

1. This is only Western conference. I don't know the Eastern conference guys well enough to write a ballot, and it's really hard to compare performance without common opponents. If Eastern wants a Pro Bowl type thing, start a separate vote. Until then, if you vote for an Eastern conference guy it's not going to count.

2. Only one vote per team . . . I may not even bother to verify this but it would make things more fair.

3. You can't vote for your own players. So DL, while plenty of Super's players will most likely make the Pro Bowl, you're going to have to vote for who you think is worthy out of the rest of the league (you'll notice none of Monowi's guys are on my ballot, although I think we have tough players at a couple positions).

4. Columbus is gonna have to knock off the Western Conference champ before they're the "league's best defense."

http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=1278201 Should have been the mvp for that conference but had a few less receptions which is getting too much consideration for mvps in all leagues.

Check the stats in the head to head match up, Who had the better stats? That statement makes absolutely no sense, and to say he doesn't deserve consideration for the pro bowl is ridiculous!

Hey,

You flip flopped Columbus and Western Conference. I believe you meant to say

Someone from the Western Conference is going to have to knock of Columbus before they're the "league's best defense.

11th in rushing yards.
http://goallineblitz.com/game/stats.pl?season=9&league_id=55&conference_id=0&stat=rushing&playoffs=0

28th in YPC
http://goallineblitz.com/game/stats.pl?season=9&league_id=55&conference_id=0&stat=rushing&sort=rushing_yards/carries&playoffs=0

5th in TDs
http://goallineblitz.com/game/stats.pl?season=9&league_id=55&conference_id=0&stat=rushing&sort=rushing_td&playoffs=0

0 Fumbles which only 1 other can claim that.

18 receptions which is what got him the MVP because Bort screwed up the code again and trying to give WRs and TEs a chance he coded receptions to have more weight in the MVP race and didnt adjust it for RBs. If I had been on Irvins team seeing that going to the end I would have been passing him the ball more and he would have been the MVP easily.

Steppin may not have had as many carries but when you are 28th in the league in ypc its not overly impressive when it comes to deciding Pro Bowl players and we can even take the 6 out who had just a few carries and say 22nd.

And like 4favre pointed out look at what each back did against the other decent teams in the conference!!!!! I don't want to slam another guys back especially when he has said nothing wrong but Steppin's stats against good teams speak for themselves. That is what is important, not what you do against bad teams!!!

Those are some impressive stats, but I said "to say that he shouldn't get any consideration was ridiculous", I don't think you did anything to prove me wrong. When a team needs you to step up, and how you produce, means more to me than what you do against CPU teams that are guaranteed free yardage!

sorry to correct you again, but you posted the wrong link. lol

I'm looking forward to seeing how everything shakes out and who wins the league even if we don't have a horse in the race.

Oh and I had to check out what team was your's and noticed you have a guy on the Monks. Good game today hopefully you guys move to the same league as the Leapers next season. Your pretty quiet over in those league forums.

Yeah, good game with the Leapers--you all are a solid team. My SS is actually leaving the Monks for next season, but I'm sure they'll be fine. I don't really check the EE forums, though--not part of the management for that team (I just have a player there).

And . . . you linked to a preseason game . . . which is pretty much meaningless.

But all this is speculation. If you didn't gameplan for the scrimmage I posted than you haven't really played a game yet . . . so the "league's best defense" is a bit premature, don't you think?

Shut down one of West's final four (or succeed in not being shut down by Carolina . . . they're more of a defensive team) and then we'll have something to go off of.

Not really bashing Columbus--you all look good--but until you play the top Western teams there isn't a "league's best defense."

But mostly just trying to start a debate.

The srimmage against the bangaroos we left the ai in from that days game. Not trying to make an excuse why we got smoked just stating a fact. They have a damn good team so I'm not trying to discredit them at all.

We'll see soon enough how we stack up against your conference. Even if we were to lose we would play one of the top 4 in the other conference. We'd have to arrange that both teams gameplan as I typically don't gameplan for scrimmages once my teams get knocked out of the playoffs.

This thread made it to a couple pages. The forums are livening up a bit, too bad it took until the end of the season.

I can't tell you how proud I am that my player Steppin' Razor hijacked this thread and I didn't even have to start it this time.

For the record, I think Sedrick shoulda got the mvp too. Furthermore, I think the Bones (Bona Atilla and Boney Maroney) should be given more consideration as best HBs in the East since they carried their teams more where Columbus & Mich. St. had more balanced attacks. It also didn't hurt that Steppin' got to rush behind a front 5 w/ over 600 pancakes! I guess I gotta buy them rolexes or something.

Hopefully someone will get the Eastern Conference voting organized? I'd do it but I have no time since learning that Steppin' is apparently a 'receiving' HB and I need to go train that for the first time this season so we can bring Gold home for Columbus.

Believe me, that scrimmage during the season was meaningless also!
