People's Elbow singlehandley won games and played a bigger part than anyone in NACJAC's back to back Super Wok appearances. He played in the league for 3 seasons and was the best DE in the league each season. He has the same career length has a player such as Rawr Rawr, but PE has nearly as many sacks(220) in his 3 seasons, as Rawr Rawr had tackles in 3 Pro seasons(226 I believe) PE's also has a ring and was part of the only garuda team to ever strike fear into Naga.

Ricky Watters was a the best player on the best team before the Bandar/ESL/NACJAC promotion. The Seamen were this league up till that point and Ricky had 5 productive seasons as one of the best backs in the league.

Those were the first 2 "Superstars" in this league, just because they had short careers doesn't take away from what they did imo. There are some HoF's in the NFL who made it with shortened careers as well.

Not to be mean or anything, but comparing him to Rawr Rawr isn't something you can do because he played in seasons when OTs were built shitty and there was no DE nerf. He was still great but they both played in different times

my 2c is i prefer a rawr rawr over a People's Elbow. Tare's build was absolutely sick at the time, due to the DE speed 'exploit'. ESL handled him fine in tour Super Wok.

I would prefer dudes that have stuck around, like sloth fratelli, beau taylor and even a Dick Cheney. Cheney was an unmitigated monster in 'his day' and has stuck around, unlike People's Elbow

I do think HB has a good point though. People's Elbow and Ricky Watters were a big part of SEA lore, so perhaps they *should be* still.. ie get in the HoF. Elbow was "the best" DE in SEA for quite some time, and should probably get recognized as such, but only if there is still room amongst the 20 chosen. Even among the speed freaks, Elbow was a Freak among Freaks and was a game changer for a few seasons.

However, Watters is now playing in a new region, so I would prefer him to get nominated out of his new region (if at all) rather than take up an SEA slot. I could see Elbow making it though for SEA. just my 2c

Is there any way to determine total stats someone has in a single league, easily?

Duluth could throw a couple names into the hat.

Alex Favre, QB (Season 7 SEA Pro Passing Champ)
Cole Weathers, WR
Adrian Highlander, CB (3rd most INT's in season 7)
Arakas "the Cleaver" Ironfist, LB (I want to say he was the sack leader for LB's in season 7)

CelticRaider, greatest return man in history. 12 trophies, 5 of them gold. I'm relatively sure I'll be taking some hardware home this season too, but I'm way too lazy to look. Sealed playoff wins with returns, ruined numerous regular season franchises hopes and dreams, and got temp banned numerous times for telling Rawr Rawr what a limp wrister he is.

list updated through here. I will compile stats/highlights for each player as we near the end of the season

Idk if the Bats really have any HOF caliber guys. We're much more team focused, and don't really play for stats. But, if I had to nominate some of our players, it'd be:

UhohI Missed, P, http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=118921 season 7 punting champ, and has been in at least the top 10 each season in the pros. He also has an uncanny ability to pin the other team deep in their own territory. He has been phenomenal in close games where field position is key.

Beer Truck Schmitt, FB -http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=113576 Pretty quiet, but one hell of a FB. He can block, he can run (although he rarely gets the chance) and he can catch. His most impressive season was in season 5, where he lead SEA AAA1 in pancakes w/ 207. That's a lot for any player, let alone a FB. That season he also averaged 17 ypc on 43 carries, and scored 4 TDs. That's not bad for a blocking back. His stats haven't been as crazy in the pros, but he's been very solid, and probably one of the best FBs in the league.

Having game planned against NACJAC as owner of the Krakatoan Red Warriors, I can say without a doubt, no defensive player made me change my offensive game plan more than Peoples Elbow. Long passes were unthinkable. 5 WR sets were a gamble. Peoples Elbow was a freak of nature, a beast against the run and the pass.

As someone who has been in the Pro league since season 3 with the Krak Red Warriors, this was by far the scariest player we ever played against.

There are some great players from teams like the Krak Red Warriors, NACJAC, Hot Mamas, Tweetys, and some of the other early garuda teams that i'm forgetting/don't know alot about. I can go through the Naga side pretty easy, but garuda, especially back then is one of my weak points.

Remember any names Sulf or Bazooka?

well shit, if people's elbow was so scary, then super wok mvp domenico scaramanzia should be in the hall of fame for his steely resolve.

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=209716&pbp_id=11997647

also, my dislike of nacjac means the team ending up with the extremely lame name "new england cowboys" brings me great pleasure.

ESL players to be considered
All these have been with us since season 1
LOT - Bustyer Chops - ESL -http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=102385&playoffs=0 - Claim to fame is shutting out the much talked about People's Elbow in the Super Wok. His play for the majority of his career has been among the best at the LOT position, and he has 3 Super Wok rings as well. He has been our starting LT since our first game I believe and at his peak was simply unbeatable.

KR/PR/CB - Iam Ridiculous - ESL - Possibly the greatest return man in the history of the Pro's, Iam has also made several clutch plays as a cornerback. http://goallineblitz.com/game/player_awards.pl?player_id=108633 Personally I think his trophy case speaks for itself.

FS - Frank Stallone - ESL - http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=91796 - The fans and people love him and he is an all world free safety. One of the few that can play both the run and the deep ball effectively, his range on the field may never be seen again. BAM

G - Tom Thayer - ESL - http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=150196&playoffs=0 Been with us since season 1, and an absolute monster in the trenches. I believe he has been our starting LG for all of our championships, but he might have missed the AAA one. Over 1000 career pancakes

FB - Flex Thompson - ESL - http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=103742 Flex has been asked to pave the way for Beav, Beav's entire career. Our backup HB for many seasons, Eddie McClintock http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=119902&playoffs=0 , had many very productive seasons as well running behind Flex.

Others
OLB - Dick Cheney - TBP/ESL - http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=40904&playoffs=0 - Dick Cheney for a long time was one of the most underrated players around, but was also an absolute beast. I first heard about this guy the year I did my All HB team and have been a huge fan ever since. He had a nearly People's Elbow type effect on the TBP defense the year they made the Super Wok, and has been stellar since coming to ESL.

OLB - William Wallus - Mekong Monsoon/ESL - http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=176724&playoffs=0 Wallus has been a monster of a LBer since the early years in Mekong. After having to play him for years, ESL quickly jumped on the opportunity to pick him up and he did not disappoint. Wallus has made a living in opposing teams backfields and has picked up a ring with ESL as well.
