Yep exactly. Marshall and Royal were unknowns. Who knows Rasheed could go for 90 catches, 1300 yards and 12 TD next year. Anything is possible with a stud QB.

I also think Greg Olsen will be a top 3 TE this upcoming season. If he stays healthy he is a BEAST

LOL, don't you just love optimism! Royal wasn't an "unknown", he was a 2nd round pick last year, so obviously he wasn't an "unknown". As for Marshall, it remains to be seen how he'll do without Cutler and Cutler without him(and the Broncos OL).

have you even seen Cutler's ability to elude sacks? im pretty sure that Broncos OL isn't going to look the same with a statue back there

tebow sucks, gtfo <_<

Cutler's ability to avoid sacks? Yes, I have seen it, he's decent at it but he's not near as good as you are acting. It's not like he is Roethlisberger or Garrard back there.

EDIT: and Marshall had iirc, 7 career receptions before Cutler

let's see orton put that ball in the same places that cutler did

doubt it lol

Except quite a few 2nd round WRs in this class came in and were successful and a 2nd rounder is not an unknown, he was the 42nd pick. You could argue he had more success than expected but he was never an unknown player. Orton doesn't have to, Broncos will have a better run game this season and will just rely on him as a game manager, something Cutler could never do quite properly.

As for Marshall, he was a rookie 4th round pick WR, not too surprising he didn't have a ton of catches but you could also argue that Cutler played so well because Marshall developed with him.

I do agree that Denver took a step back this year thanks to Josh McRetard.

What has their new coach done since joining the Bronco's?

#1 Alienating and trading their young stud QB. Say what you want about Cutler being a cry-baby, but even so when cutler went to talk to McD after the initial flare up, McD told him that he still might be traded. What an arrogant self righteous prick...

#2 Brought in 3 veteran HB's then used pick 12 overall on Moreno. Not only is HB FAR from their biggest need, but Moreno isn't the type of player you pick in the 1st round, much less the first half of it. He is a 210 pound elusive back to runs a 4.6... You put him in the 2008 draft and he's a mid-to-late 2nd rounder without question.

#3 He is getting rid of Denver's zone blocking scheme. You know, that system that's made Denver consistantly one of the best run teams in the NFL for the past decade. The system that's made guys like Olindis Gary, Mike Bell, Tatum bell, Selvin Young look like good backs. Heck, Portis is even the most talented of the post terrell davis era, and he went from averaging 5.5 ypc in denver to like 4.0 on the skins. What kind of idiot changes run blocking schemes when what you have is already fantastic and you have players who are perfect for it?

#4 He is switching to a 3-4 without anything close to proper personnel. They don't have a NT on the team, much less any quality 3-4 Ends, and they lack the depth at LB for it to have it make sense. The projected starters on the DL are Marcus Thomas/Carlton Powell/Kenny Peterson. You can tell the McD came from the pats offense and not their D, because the #1 thing on the pats and now the chiefs is gettng quality D-linemen.

#5 He signed 3 DBs to start along with Champ Bailey, all of whom are 32+ and older then him. What the hell...

Seriously, I'd bet you $1,000,000 that if you asked the Bronco's owner to do it all over again, McD wouldn't be their head coach... Worst off-season imaginable, and despite what the media would lead you to believe, they had a worse draft than the raiders given all the picks they had....

Yes exactly a second round pick. Which a hell of a lot more miss than hit. So he was a "unknown" just like the 1st round, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th and un-drafted rookies. All "unknowns"

LOL Wise, you are assuming what happened in that convo based on what Cutler says despite there being many reports saying Cutler wanted a trade after Bates left for USC. And BTW, McD and Belichick made Cassell a stud so I think he knows what he is doing with QBs, Cutler is NOT his type of QBs, they like smart QBs who don't turn the ball over. Cutler is an inconsistent big armed QB who will turn the ball over. They aren't switching to a full 3-4 and BTW if you think Moreno wasn't deserving of a first round pick, you don't know much about the draft. 40 times and always overblown. If anyone here has watched Moreno a good deal in college, they'd know this guy is going to be a great Pro. He's a multi dimensional HB a lot like LaDainian Tomlinson. He may not run a 4.2 but 40 times are still bullshit, Moreno can line up in the slot and catch passes, he is one of the quickest people I've ever seen and is surprisingly powerful for his size as well as being a workhorse RB. I HATE UGA and still love Moreno, I wonder why...because the guy is an amazing RB. Watching him play in College(vs. SEC defenses) will tell you all you need to know about him...I can't believe people even use 40 times to justify their arguments even more, the combine is not even really needed except for the smaller school guys and the 40 time is one of the least important drills except for KRs and PRs.

Broncos defense. The 3-4 LBs are pretty solid, Davis played well with the Browns in the Middle and Haggan may end up taking the job from Bailey or Larsen might as well as Williams may slide in and Moss goes to the other 3-4 OLB if he shows off some of this massive potential.(or Ayers will start) They are good at CB, they have 2 older guys in Bailey and Goodman who both are good CBs with backups being 3 young guys with immense potential in Alphonso Smith, Jack Williams and Rashod Moulton. Dawkins is a veteran leader and hard hitter back there but he won't offer much coverage and Renaldo Hill is a cover FS who might lose his job to the more athletic and young Josh Barrett. They have a pretty solid DL. I more expect Marcus Thomas to DE, not NT(he's listed at NT) but he was the best player on the 2006 Gators DL before he got kicked off the team because of off the field problems. If they keep him in check, he can be a special player. Overall, they brought in a lot of young guys but have some guys who could end up being really good 3-4 players especially on the DL. Also remember, they aren't going to play only 3-4. They'll be playing some 4-3.

you're assuming too...

Boldin wanted to be traded too, doesn't mean he's going to get his wish.

Denver fucked up. Point blank.

and LOL@McDaniels being good because of Cassel. Yeah, because NE coaches have so much success when they leave NE...oh' that's right. Mangina, Crennel and Weis are all having such great careers outside of NE.
