thing is, I wouldn't have been angry if we had lost, I dunno, 16 to 10 instead? The defense gives up 16, and the offense 14. I almost feel like defense is pointless. The best defense is pick 6's.

Between this and the stupid pick 6's that happen 2 times every game. This game continues to be unwatchable. If i could honestly take every single pick 6 off the board - for and against us - I'd accept our record as it'd be.

Only difference b/t this season and last is this season you don't have to run SI Slam.

I will say congrats on the win Texas. The shoe could've been on the other foot, I'd feel just as dirty, though. Bort continues to put a garbage product on the table.

Really, it's to the point that I'm sick of hearing all the bitching about it though. We all get that he is clueless and can't put a good game out there but we all keep playing for some damned reason.

Knowing that, it's really time imo to stop all the bitching about it in these kind of threads and just take the game for what it is or stop playing.

This isn't a knock on you or your team personally but rather on the game as a whole.

It goes both ways dude. I don't think any of us should complain about it tbh.

Anyway, I think knocked loose thing may not be as useful as people think and seriously think it has always been there, but now it's noted in the text and increased by ballhawk VA.

Anyway, there are ways to prevent knocked loose thing that are pretty simple and make some sense tbh. I just think it wasn't explored by most of you so far.

I'd like to know how many WRs that are falling victim to this have carrying capped at 2nd level.

You had LBs and Safeties jacking up their strength and tackling to deal with the power run game of S7 and S8 but how many WRs were keeping pace by cranking up carrying? My guess is not many.

His point has nothing to do with that it goes both ways... it's that the knocked loose/int ratio is unrealistic. Besides, in the game you linked there were no knocked loose --> intercepted passes while there were three in the game that simmed today.

Why can't we complain? It's a forum and he's just here discussing the game, which certainly includes its flaws. We shouldn't just shut up and keep quiet when there is something we believe is wrong with the sim.

Nice win by the Roughnecks regardless, you guys are proving that you can compete with the elites up here. Good shit.

How many passes are intercepted after a deflection in real life? That's more of the issue here. I love the increase in knocking the ball loose but not the idiotic interceptions that result.

Exactly, you see maybe 1 int every 4 weeks from a ball knocked loose if even that and they are lucky ints. This isn't the ball getting deflected, it's the WR catching it, getting hit and letting go of the ball but somehow when it gets knocked loose, it bounces way up in the air.

The thing is THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH KNOCKED LOOSE BALLS OR CARRYING/CATCHING but only about what happens once the ball is knocked loose. Bort did something on 5/14 while making other updates that unintentionally caused either the knocked loose balls to fly straight in the air and easily catchable, or made catching/vision checks non-existent and as long as the CB is there he can grab it out of the air.

I'd like to know how many DBs/LB have carry at cap.

It can go both ways. But for what its worth, i know a few who do have 2nd cap carry, and still get those drops.

that's the problem every knocked loose pass flies up in the air and is a jump ball none of them go to the ground

Most go to the ground tbh. Anyone else noticed that out of like... nly 1/5 of them are caught (not only by the defense, but the offense also can re-catch the ball btw)

Regardless, maybe 1% max of Knocked loose passes should be catchable by a DB or WR. Not the current 30-50%.

Yeah, I really need to look into this prob once and for all. I just had to go waaay out of my way to 'gameplan' for this 'critical game' to clinch first place (because its not like SBS is going to beat us) given the holiday weekend....and this was the thanks I got for it.

I'd have been fine if we had lost 16-10 or 19-10. Still a loss, but its the nature of these losses (and wins) that continues to tick me off - not the losing part.
The pace of the games, the margin of error, the cumulative lol factor...

yea my bad you're right most go to the ground but bort added something mid season that causes some of them to fly way up in the air, offesne never really gets a chance ti catch the ball though because there are usually 2-4 defensive players and just the 1 receiver
