Highway infosystems company. We build technology that weighs vehicles at highway speeds and integrate with other sensors around the road to provide data to people who build or manage highways.

Times are okay for us thanks to a bunch of projects we had in the pipeline and new construction projects funded by the stimulus money.

I was a branch manager for an irrigation supply house in Florida. I have been out of work for 14 months now. Amazingly, I can't find irrigation work in South Florida. Seems like I wasted 13 years of my life in that industry... On a positive note, being a stay at home dad is pretty cool too.

Field Technician for the countries 3rd largest telecommunications company. Basically I install and repair cable, high speed internet and telephone in residential customers homes. Things of course are getting tight here too. Should have stayed in the Marines though, seems killing is one career that isn't adversely affected by the economy. No matter how poor we seem to get, the government of course never seems to slow down on their spending.

Nurse for 10 years, roughneck for 8 years til I got laid off in February. Independent licensed insurance adjuster now, mainly working storm catastrophes.
I saw the oilfield slowdown coming and banked most of my income so we have been fine financially. Have little desire to re-enter the nursing field. Independent adjusting is or can be a very lucrative career, we'll know more by the end of summer...............

I was born in Maryland, and then moved to Charleston, SC....two Seafood Meccas. The best crab cakes are Maryland style and only have 4 ingredients.....lump crab meat, egg, mayonaise, Old Bay seasoning.

16 oz lump crab meat
1 egg
2 tbsp Mayo
1 tsp old bay

In a bowl mix the egg, mayo, and old bay until you end up with a smooth and even consistency. Gently add in your crab meat. You want to keep the lumps in tact for the most part, while getting some of the mixture added in to hold the crab cake together. Ball the crab cakes up into 4 or 5 patties and pan fry on Medium heat with BUTTER....not oil, not margarine....BUTTER.

Are you serious?????

I love that stuff.

If you aren't a fan of old bay, then I would just go with some good old salt and pepper in place of it. You won't need too much salt as you are eating something that came out of salt water.

What part of MD?
