Instead of forcing teams to play in a "pro league" wouldnt it be better to say let a team decide to play in which league? An example would be lets take league 5 since I am familiar with it. We have 6 really good teams and the rest are in another class. Now lets say league 5 is where everyone wants to play, So now Dharma, Mississippi Mud Dogs, South Pole Hippies, LeHigh Valley, He Hate Me, and the Crib Midgets can elect from a drop down list where you extend ownership of your team to and elect to play in league 5. So Bort in the offseason can re-arrange the leagues and move out the bottom teams and put in the teams I just listed. This will keep teams who have no interest in game planning each game to stay in a league they are happy with. Some teams like the fact that they only have to gameplan for 5 or 6 games and get the rest off so they wont be happy with being forced to move up. Just a thought. It should be easy to do because all Bort would have to do is make a drop down list of league 1-25 and you elect which league you want to join. Your team then gets moved to the league you chose.

I'm all for a pyramid league setup. It would cut-down on the amount of flex I gotta spend on scrimmages against other good teams if I can just play them straight up in league play.
and we're the South Park Hippies. By all means go find and scout the south pole hippies if they do exist out there though

I know, I always get your team name mixed up, south park, south pole..lol I tried scouting your team but no one has given me anything to go on except that 1 loss and there just isnt enough info IMO.

The question is how could you make a pyramid league work with only having a roster for 1 season? I mean not everyone is guaranteed to have a killer team every season and what is stop a team from sandbagging to get to a lower tier just so they can dominate it and have an easier time winning a championship. The pyramids work at the upper levels because the teams are together for more than 1 season. There would have to be way to many checks and balances in place and would make it more of a headache than it would be worth. And who decides who plays in what tier? If the team owner gets to choose that would be a joke. You get a bunch of joe blows who THINK they know what they are doing and then they get their asses handed to them and it ends up weakening the league when they bail and turn the team over to CPU. Don't get me wrong, I do think something should be done like maybe extending it to a 2 season deal or something.
Just my 2 cents.

Maybe different tiers for long time owners?
a level for 1st season owners, another for 2nd and then a top tier for 3+ season owners?
It may mean that an experienced player may dominate a 1season tier, but they will be moved up quickly. From there you just go by team performances, some owners may be stuck in 1st tier for ever, but others may not be able to crack 2nd tier.
Unfortunately there will always be owners who just want to dominate no matter what.

- A pyramid structure like in the big leagues?
- No players allowed that are created before Day 40?
- Forced player retirement after 1 season?
- No boosting allowed in Pee Wee?
- No players allowed in OOP slots?
Bort has already announced some type of hierarchy for the next season, this should move the more competitive teams into the same league.
Players created before day 40 is fine, since this is the only league that doesn't allow you to break the cap barrier by hiring level one, boosting to level 4, boosting to level 7. Players have learned that creating on day 31 is the way to go. Bort loves it because it means that they can't use the flex from retiring their existing players to create their day 31 players. the only way you are going to get an effective passing game in Pee Wee before day 30 is by creating players early.
No forced player retirement. If people want to retire their players at the end of the season to spend the flex for the next, that is their choice. If they want to take their player, or an entire team of players into a cap 13 league, then that is their choice as well. Farm teams will all end up playing eachother under a hierarchy, so players that build for one season of Pee Wee will likely rise to the top of the Pee Wee pyramid.
There is not ever going to be a no boosting rule. It give the paying players a slight edge in the same way custom EQ does. Bort wants money, so he will keep boosting. Again, home playoff games don't mean a thing. If you boost early, you will likely be a worse team come playoffs, so there is a greater chance of you being beaten by a late boosting team. Which means that you will continue to dwell in the middle tier of the Pee Wees.
Custom building for the OOP slots is crucial to Pee Wee. If you can't stop the QB rollout because the QB1 is in the FB or TE slot, then you need to figure out why the other teams aren't having a problem. I have a custom blocking TE and a custom receiving TE. I have a pass blocking FB and Lead Blocking FB. I have a Power HB and a speed HB. I will continue to enjoy the ability to run the same formation in different ways to confuse the defense. They have the ability to scout me, they have the ability to create a play to stop me, so why should we start punishing Offenses when both teams have the ability to use the same tools. If you want fewer options, ask for a Pee Wee casual league.

Well It would be quite simple to do really as far as sandbagging goes yea that would be hard to stop but thats ok its still better than what we have now, it would take a simple combining of teams into a huge pool (you would be suprised how easy it would be though it seams hard) and run the league stats for all of peewee, then the teams with the best average between their offense and defense would be taken and placed into respective leagues. After that why not do a promotion system? if a team is sold you just bump up the next person and of course all new teams bump ahead of CPU teams. Bort probably has some Ideas and knows which would be easy for him to do anyway I hear we are getting a form of a promotion system in a season or two...

Honestly that is a pretty bad idea because if you are going to reset peewee players back to level 1 then why wld people want to waste their money and boost? Players move on and coaches recruit for more players. Think of Pee Wees as college game. Recruting needed.

That is not entirely true, I have found a way to work around that. If I have say 1,100 Flex.
- Season 8 Day 31-Create HB, get him +6 through CE
- Season 9 Day 31-Create CB
-Season 10 Day 40-Retire HB, get 420 Flex back
-Season 10 day 40-Put that 400 flex on CB through CE
A way to partially work around it.

no the point is people boost and retire anyway half the peewee players will not be moving on. I only intend on keeping two players this season one is a Guard and the other I hadnt intended to keep until he proved to be one of the teams leading tacklers and it was due to his ability since most of the time he tracked the HB down instead of being ran into.

The best teams aren't going to sandbag... the best teams are going to want to earn their way to the top. If you have a four level pyramid (Senior x 1, Junior x 4, Sophmore x 8, Frosh x 16), you aren't going to get to the top unless you fight for it. The people at the top aren't going to want to give up their spot to get a shot at the big one. If you drop the bottom 8 teams from Senior and the bottom 4 teams from all Junior and Sophemore leagues, I think things will still work out just fine.

agreed, I get tired of beating teams 175 to 0, I would prefer every pee wee game I play to be a nail biter

Ditto. Most of the pee-wee season is pretty boring, hence all the tournaments we all take part in.

+1, my favorite game so far this season was a scrimmage that I lost 34-31 to the Bengalfish Guppies. That 132-0 win today was kinda boring.
