Assuming most of my friends/teammates go as well, yeah, that'd be me as well.

I'll probably play both - Quick Hit won't let you build your own players. I really like that aspect about GLB.

I liked this aspect until I realized a couple seasons ago that building your own player doesn't matter if the hidden attributes determine your player is destined to suck regardless of what you do.

That topic honestly amuses the hell out of me. I've built somewhere over 70 players (nothing to be proud of, actually. If anything I'm embarrassed I've funded Bort to that extent). Many times, 2 players were within a point or less of every single skill being 100% identical. Yet, one would suck and the other played above their build. I've got a LOT right now. He's lvl 53 and is short 3 full sets of EQ. That's 12 higher he should be in blocking & str, but he flat out dominates anyway and has since his 2nd ssn, yet 2 older OTs, with sooooooooooooooooo much better builds, consistently suck ass for me. For many ssn, I had 2 absolutely identical corners, yet one often played off, rarely was aggressive at all and consistently got lit up, while the other just keeps producing. I've had very simular experiences with HBs, LBs, WRs, QBs, almost every position, yet we're told that these mythical "hidden attributes" don't exist.

I can handle that they do, and actually sort of like the idea...I just don't like it when ppl try to BS me. I've never been overly tolerant of that.

I wasn't referring to you, Hazy...Your post wasn't up when I was writing my previous post, and I'm sure you've been told this isn't the case and actually believe it. However, no one in this world can ever change my mind on this being a reality. I'm not basing my belief that it exists on 1 or 2 players or 1 or 2 games. Anything can and does happen in that small of sampling. On the flip side, when you built more than an entire team yourself, have identical players, purposefully switch guys around, trying to prove yourself wrong, and still see the same thing for over 8 ssns...That's pretty hard evidence to refute.

I think there are hidden attributes..and if they are around then they dont really matter. I mean not everyone player coming into the regular NFL is going to be a pro bowler..So I guess that is kind of what these hidden attributes do.. If there are any

I've experienced the same situation when me and a friend of mine made identical DT's within 1 point of each other. His DT was a perennial 15 sack per season DT while mine got about 2.

You're in the minority Hazy. I'm retiring the well built players I have that Bort's sim has cursed. Like PP said, it may not be the worst concept in the world from a realism standpoint, but tell that to the people paying hard earned cash to build players destined to be mediocre.

Well that would be bullshit. Every NFL player gets paid, everyone here is paying. If guys have identical builds they should perform the same, people don't pay to make a Ryan Leaf (assuming their build is good)

I'll ask Bort if it is or not since I think there would have been a much bigger uproar if it were true.

unless it was back when there was no tracking his posts so he could and often did post, undocumented, wherever he wanted.

I personally don't recall him actually saying this publicly...but who knows how much game insight any of us missed due to the - what 6 months? 9 months? - period of time before Bort taking down forum search and re-adding it again.

You make a point.. I guess. But what fun would something be if everyone could be exactly alike in all aspects?

After reading it I want to choke Brandon Justice. I'm sure it would be easy peasy baby.
