awesome

I like the tiers, but someone should ask Bort for an input thread from owners, GM's and players from the peewee nation

Wonderous thing, I supppose and I'm all for improvement.

BUT the next big issue that needs to be adressed is fixing the AI for both sides of the ball. Right now, there is a run on teams running the QB sweep, play after play, over and over. It is unrealistic for a team to run a player 60-80 plays a game, yet the PW AI allows this to happen. It's not about football right now, it's about who can build the fastest HB and make him a QB.

I don't think this is as big an issue because it is not just in PeeWee that the rushing QB is proving effective; I was part of a capped team last year that went undefeated last year on the legs of our rushing QB. We were brought up to A this season and he is still having success, although not nearly as much being in an uncapped league.

The last couple of seasons when playoffs come around, those PeeWee teams who only know how to rush the QB are generally stopped cold. I think you will see the good teams will be rushing their QB under a dozen times a game because if you are using the same play 60+ times a game it is too easy to gameplan for. But used as part of a balanced offense, the rushing QB is a good thing.

Good defensive schemes hold rushing QBs to negative yardage. The rushing QB is a lethal weapon against generic defenses... but a DC that knows what his is doing can outright dominate the offense with little effort.

Very cool that Bort is interested in developing the pee-wee league organization. Love it.

I think there is an issue, somewhat, with QB rushing plays. It appears defensive players in man or zone coverage do not even consider it a rushing threat until the QB has passed the LOS then a vision check is required. Rightfully so I guess since their suppose to be in coverage, but perhaps start the vision check after the QB is outside the OT's so once the QB is beyond LOS they immediately break coverage and attack. Maybe even have safeties, in cover 2 for example, start shifting over. I don't know, just a thought

On a side note, QB's rushing getting TFL should register as a sack!

I think Bort needs to add the same code to a rushing QB that he has for a passing QB that drops back to pass and pulls the ball down. When the QB pulls the ball down the defenders react, so just add the same code to running plays for the QB at a certain point.

So no new information on Pee Wee in Bort's last post, I'm going to bump the suggestion.

I thought you couldn't sign up for a Pee Wee team if you had one last season?

My input would be to allow owners to keep their Pee Wee team from season to season.

With a new roster of course.

Based on this from the restructure Faq...I'd doubt we see a change next season...most likely the season after that...

Anything on how the Pee Wee leagues will be re-structure?

Bort:

I would love to set up a pyramid for them. I think we need to focus on one thing at a time, however, and just get this restructure out of the way before doing another big change like that.
