Examples of either HF or Juke in action (likely Juke):

I don't think so. I've seen pump fake and it doesn't fake out the defenders as much as this (or for as long). These are much more dramatic. Also consider the QB has 6 in Pump Fake while the receiver has 10 in Juke.

Compare those examples to this receiver with 10 in Head Fake:

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=477115&pbp_id=6302037

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=477115&pbp_id=6305744

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=477115&pbp_id=6305907

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=477115&pbp_id=6307040

In these examples the CB goes the wrong way and moves away from the receiver. In the Juke examples the CB freezes completely.

successful headfakes/jukes from a HB make defender dots shrink like a pancake. none of those replays showed the CB dots shrinking.

This is why I'm led to believe Juke and Head Fake performs differently for WRs than it does for HBs. It's very hard for me to believe all of these examples are the work of Pump Fake by the QB, especially when the CBs react differently (i.e. going the opposite way as opposed to the first examples of them freezing in place). The very definition of Head Fake is "The Player will look one way then move the other...causing defenders to go the wrong way or freeze." In the above examples, that's exactly what the CBs do.

you can see when a QB pump fakes... he's not. I thought the same, then i watched it tick by tick. I really don' think it is juke however. I do think it's head fake making the CB think that stopping in his place is the best option because he thought he saw the WR trying to make a move inside or a curl or something.

But QB isn't pumping.

I really think juke may help in making moves/ quick cuts. But in those plays those were most likely head fakes.

i believe i have seen my WR several times (i dont have replays) make distinct quick cuts in then right back out when first beginning the route. I believe juke is quite noticeable early in the route

I never noticed any difference in creative route running with or without juke.

Thanks, but I'm not sure what this is in reference to. Juke seems to stop CBs in their tracks, which is what I'm going for:

Example:

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=566458&pbp_id=11558745

I'm not referencing creative or exact route running, however I'd probably stay on exact.

It was in reference to you wanting to have 9 points in Juke, it's not worth it. I had 7 in Juke for a season thanks to AE and it was totally useless IMO. There was no difference in route running, and I never saw a juke after the catch. The first two in the speedster tree are the only ones I would put any points in. Juke and HF are both supposed to work before and after the catch but I've never seen anything that makes me believe they do a damn thing for receivers.

what was your carrying?
