Since the OT seems to decide that the NT is more of a threat on that play because he engaged the o-line first.
Cuz the LDE takes like 10 ticks to cross the LOS
It's kinda funny though, you can notice if you go through frame by frame that the ROT is just backpedaling, but the very instant the NT touches the RG and the LDE hasn't engaged yet, he starts moving towards the center to try and engage the NT, which is also exactly when the LDE starts moving and fucks it all up.
Insight into how the sim works, etc.
Based on this, we need a new VA. A "don't jump the snap" VA, which adds a chance to get off the line even more slowly and decreases the chance to be drawn offsides.

DE's not working = working as intended
Well just make them really slow and overall pretty bad and they might get some hurries.
basically if you make your DE worse, he should do better
Yea just try to be so slow and unagile that the O-lineman gets bored with you and eventually ignores you, giving you a free path to the QB for a much wanted hurry.
Not that hurries do anything, or work correctly...

Not a DC, But leads me to ask a DC this question.
In the DPC, can you back a DE (that has speed) a few feet from the line of scrimmage?

Nope. He's stuck. Closest thing you can do is run a 3 man front and use the LB like a DE.

Or you could have the LDE cover the flat, and have the LB blitz in.

Then when youre lucky enough to create good pressure, you dont even get credit for it!

I actually noticed this with my slow build DE last season. He had no speed and sometimes the OT would just ignore him and he would get a hurry or get much closer to the QB than if he would have engaged the OT. Great programming of DEs there.
And Brit I figured Horse Face had more Speed and Agility than that.

Look at this play, my RDE gets off the snap right away and flies into the OT, while the LDE is pretty slow...30 speed and 10 agil less, 12 vision less, with no JTS and is so slow off the line that the ROT leaves him to go block someone else.
Here is my DE

Is this working as intended by the fine gentleman that created this game?
For one thing, I'm almost positive that Tunnel Vision doesn't work at all. I have 9 levels in TV on my DE too, and it is completely useless. I was even running 12 with AEQ, but that didn't do anything either.
Now I'm running 14 First Step, with very similar Speed/Agility/Vision as you do, but still can't blow by OTs, no matter how slow they are.

Isn't it phenomenal how even after hazy posts a serious test that shows beyond a shadow of a doubt that DEs are getting assfucked, Bort still won't fix it?

I'd call it normal.

I've been saying for the past few seasons that the reason this gets barely any serious attention is that low stats or a total lack of stats is less alarming to casual observers than abnormally high stats.

My 2 DE's will be retired at the end of the season. I hope a ton of agents all retire their DT's + DE"s
Seriously right now a DE with about 60 speed, 50 agility, 15 vision and 80+ STR and TKL would be the best DE right now.
So slow that you never get of the LOS fast, yet just fast enough to cause pressure when the OT leaves his assignment because you suck.
Then on run plays you just stand there and don't get pancaked.

They're already fixed. Bort has it at where he wants it to be in terms of pressure.
