If 90% of CB tackles are from WR catches then yes that's bad, but if they are from outside running plays then wouldn't a good tackling CB be able to stop or slow the play down. On the other hand a good pass deflecting CB probably has low str/tack skills and might miss the tackles which would then lead to a larger gain. The skills of a CB are irrelevant unless the DC knows how to maximize the usefulness of his CBs, imo.
This was what I was looking for. I asked because as I was building my CB, I noticed he has alot more PD's than tackles. I'm in a gutter about now on which way I should bring him to.
