At this point I'm starting to wonder if there will be a S10 with the rate things are going for everyone. Nobody's happy, nobody seems to be having any fun. . . .

I happen to be enjoying this season, and I know a bunch of other agents who mimic my stance.

I am to, but this forum has turned into a gigantic bitch fest of complaint after complaint.

1) I believe many throw the entire player build concept completely out of balance.
Example, why triple cap your tackling when double cap with sure tackler VA works better? Example 2: Do you really think season 8 would've been an epic tragedy if not for Bruiser VA? Without the increased tackle breaking that Bruiser brought teams even from the strong I would have had to pass some. Example 3: Big Heart
Could really go on, but I hope you get the point. I believe there is a large subset of VAs that are not augmenting players, but reducing the usefulness of the actual builds themselves. Like steroids almost. Screwed up your skill point boosts? Not a big deal if you win the VA lottery.
2) Most are still not tested enough. I mean outside of Hazy who actually tests these?
I honestly question how bad the game itself would actually be sans VAs. In fact, in a sense I feel now that the attribute VAs were actually better for the game (if not dopey) because the results of them were predictable and more easily measured.

Increasing your tackling higher lets you try for forced fumbles with less risk. Bruiser no longer works the way it did last season and the reason the Islam worked so well was the fall forward effect. Carries that are now 2-3 yards were getting an automatic 1-1.5 yards extra when the HB would fall forward. Big heart no longer works the way it did 3 days ago.
2 and 3 have been addressed and I would argue that 1 is not really a problem. Why are people still campaigning for no more VAs?

because I completely disagree with you - on all counts. Most of the Pounder defense is on wrap up, and yet we're consistently missing tackle after tackle after tackle. To say bruise ris meaningless and underpowered is inaccurate.
If you have Sure Tackler (VA) then perhaps its mitigated, then again, you're saying you need one overpowered VA to stop another. You also are now telling me you can try for fumbles with less risk? My ass you can. I'm 67% success rate with a base tackling score of 70 which goes up to 73-74 with slow starter second half mods. Yeah, I'm sure there are LOTS of linebackers with much more. (edit: on balanced tackling). I feel like I've wasted 5 levels development the past season on this believe tackling actually mattered, when really I could have just jacked up more speed like the old days, get my Sure Tackler VA, and be good to go. It's shit.
Look I'll even open my build so we can see how horrible it is. I'm probably retiring him this offseason anyway. I'm sick of this LB bullshit.
2 - hasn't been addressed - this is evident by the craptacular sim we've got now. New season, new exploits errrrr untested/unexpected results.
