What is with the big argument between being a Silverymoon Elf or a Dark Elf?

We all know the Dark Elves are much more badasses.

Plus, everyone and their sister knows that a Dark elf, Drizzt, pee'd in Lady Alustriel's butt. She being the leader of the Silverymoon Elves.
