First step, you can't get the ball thrown your way if you aren't open.

I agree, i don't think lower the shoulder fires very often, but getting off of the line of scrimmage faster will get you past the LB faster.

I wish I could find the post that talked about this (very large post)....and I have no idea if this is true or not...but they were saying that you need to invest 1 SP into a SA ability for it to actually effect any lev 8 equipment that adds +1 to all 5 SAs of a tree or for any AE. They made quite a compelling case.

First Step would be an amazing abilty for a receiving TE, but I have been paranoid since that post about it working since we can't put any points into it.

has 2 pieces of first step which yields +6 first step. Check out some of the plays and see if it works out the way its supposed to.

I got a +3 speed + 1 spin that's now up to 9 speed + 4 spin and spin has never activated for me.

Alright, this player just rolled a +1 agility, +1 Lower the Shoulder. I'd have to upgrade it a ton before I could wear it, is Lower the Shoulder worth it for a TE since it's at the top of the tree?

1) Do you prefer "First Step" to "Quick Cut"? If their effect were even remotely similar, it would seem that "Quick Cut" would require only ONE piece of AEQ, since "Quick Cut" can be boosted naturally on the TEs receiving tree.

2) Am I correct in assuming that both "First Step" and "Quick Cut" help in blocking as well as receiving? It seems like "First Step" would allow a blocker to engage a tackler more quickly, and it seems that "Quick Cut" would aid blocks that involve the TE changing direction to engage a defender.

Totally not right on this one. My LB has a piece of gear that gives him "Big Hit" (LBs dont even GET big hit..they get big SACK and Monster hit) but big hit fired off a few games ago for him at least once.. (i prob could have found more i just found the first one to prove this wrong)

3:34 1st & 10 OPP 32.5 Andy Nutting rush to the left (2 yd gain) [Big Hit tackle: Stile Adept]

This happened game 14 of THIS season.

I like lower the shoulder. I dont break a ton of tackles but once i get Bruiser and my str higher im sure i will. I do break tackles and i see this go off once in a while but its not a ton because i wasnt built as a bruiser.

I do have a 9 in lower the shoulder now though so i can totally see it working pretty damn well once i get the other stuff to work well with it. >=)
