By posting "you got served" you were participating in the mockery all the while knowing you've been guilty of the same thing. There's a fine line between bragging about what you're going to do and boasting about what you've already done, and it's so wafer thin as to not even exist. There's also no way of knowing whether he had knowledge of his team's advantages over the other before posting as his lone references were to their previous record and ranking. It's possible he posted without taking a look at the team's roster make-up, but there's no way you weren't aware of the advantages your level 47 player would have against a 34 QB and WR before you made your own comments. Therefore, while there are mere accusations of Dpride knowingly bragging about his superiority over another who was outleveled and outclassed, there's no question of your guilt of the same "offense". Out of ignorance though, you continue to harrass others for doing that which you do, and then try to hide behind technicalities when you're called out for it.

"Oh and, surely, since you are aged and wise, you would recognize that having any sort of college background means absolutely nothing. Its what you do with that background that matters."

Spoken like the uneducated. Every experience in life has value, whether it's spending 6 years in college or 6 years flipping burgers. You can't discount the life experiences learned in either, or the knowledge gained. Surely someone with 6 added years of schooling would have attained a greater depth of understanding in many areas of learning, and someone who flipped burgers for 6 years would have a greater understanding of how to flip a mean burger along with harsh life lessons of living on a minimum wage budget. No matter how high you consider yourself and how low you consider your peers, everyone you pass in life has a lesson they could teach you if you were only willing to take off the blinders and learn it. I've done just fine for myself after school, not that it has any bearing on what i've taken from those years. Only the poor and ignorant see everything in such harsh black and white lines of monetary value, there are things in life that "matters" much more than your station in society.

o and
btw, just because you feel the need to make a thread with every win in
the preseason. Here's a little information about the difference between
the team you just beat by 100.

Your team has 60 something players on their roster.

Their team had 40 something players on their roster.

You have one player that is level 30 and the rest are 31 and above. Thats 60 something players 31 and above.

Their team has 22 players below 25. That's half of their team below 25. Including their starting CB (level 19),

You
call them a top 5 team, but if you look at their chemistry it is really
low, which probably means they dismantled a lot of their top 5 team
from last year.

Congrats on making a thread about beating up on a team that has no where near the talent your team does.

YOu

Says the guy who posts "Please throw the ball against my 47 FS, so he can pick six your QB"

I have to say we may have lost the first game to his team but I did throw that way alot and LOL when the first touchdown was my receiver blowing by him and his CB for 70 yards and a td

sushil33t has a degree from UF and will be attending grad school shorty. I'll make that statement for him, because if he does, you'll say he's bragging. He was merely stating the the actual degree(piece of paper) is not as important as what you do with that degree. I don't think anyone would disagree with that.

But arguing your point, experience does have way more value than a degree. Ask any company if they rather have a guy who worked in the field 6 years or a guy who went to college 6 years. You say stupid poor people deal with things in black and white(extremes), however when you state an example of someone without a degree, you go right to a guy flipping burgers. Flipping burgers is the extreme every condescending person will go to when making fun of non college educated.

No it's the extremes that someone would go to in making a point that you can't put value on life experiences. I was assuming that readers would have a brain at least the size of a pea and would be able to follow along. In actuality I was saying that neither was better than the other only different, and the only value placed on life experiences we do ourselves generally to make ourselves feel more comfortable about our own lot in life. Once again, reading comprehension FTW.

BTW, tell your bro grats on the degree.

I think your getting reading comprehension confused with mind reading. I don't know you POV, unless you express it correctly. All I'm doing is commenting on what your typing. Express yourself better, but don't yell at people and belittle when you can't properly express a point.

I would disagree though, neither the paper or what you "do" with your college education is as important as the knowledge and experiences gained in its attaining. Again, you're assigning worth to life experiences which is exactly the same trap you accused me of falling into. If a person spent 6 years in school, then worked for minimum wage for the rest of his life would the education have been wasted? The only ones who can determine value for life experiences are the people who live them, it's arrogance to suggest otherwise, and arrogance is a gateway to ignorance.

"Every experience in life has value, whether it's spending 6 years in college or 6 years flipping burgers"

What is unclear about that? That is a statement that all life experiences have value yet you respond with "Flipping burgers is the extreme every condescending person will go to when making fun of non college educated. ".

Clearly you misinterpreted my post which, correct me if i'm wrong, was a poor job of comprehending on your part. I suppose I could have expressed myself better, I could followed my post up with "I AM NOT SAYING ANYTHING DETRIMENTAL ABOUT BURGER FLIPPING, UFCFKNIGHTS555" Would you have understood then?

Also I didn't say that it's stupid poor people who place so much importance on wealth when considering one's success, I said it's poor AND ignorant people who do so. People living in poverty will naturally place alot of importance on currency, because when you don't have something that's crucial in today's society to sustain life, the dollar tends to be worth quite a bit. Also, ignorant people often fall into this line of thinking, just because it's easier than accepting that every life is equal. The ignorant will place values however it's needed on order for themselves to come out looking pretty.

You really need to pay attention more when reading.

The NFL draft is coming up, and the big topic, like usual, is VALUE. It is why no one really wants to be in the top 10; teams aren't getting players with as much value as others.

Similarly while every situation and experience has value, not all experiences are equal. The value changes. This is why someone flipping burgers (your example) makes 7.50 an hour, and someone with a degree in chemistry (and a good internship) can make well over 100,000 a year starting out. This is the definition of value.

I am not trying to devalue your double major. That is outstanding! I just think that there is more value in taking a degree in sociology and studying something like the demographics and hierarchy of drug trafficking in America, than there is in earning a degree, and for you to go around announcing your college degrees like we give a crap shows that you might be on the arrogant side.

Again you're putting monetary value on life experiences. You're wrong, that is not the definition of value, it's the definition of monetary value. Monetary value is defined by money and material worth. The first example you gave would be defining value as quality of service, but value can mean much more. The truth is that while you may place value on education based on the salary or wage you recieved after graduation, others may value the lessons learned through their experiences in school, or treasure the knowledge and/or wisdom gained from those experiences, or even simply feel that they live a happy and full life for it. It's hard to say that someone who lived a happy and full life while working at minimum wage would have better off had they went to college, majored in chemistry and got a $100,000+ a year job after graduation. Everyone appropriates value to their life's experiences differently than others would, arrogance is in putting a monetary value on people's lives.

I didn't just "go around announcing" my degrees, you tried to insult me by saying I have a degree in "obvious" so I responded by setting the record straight. You brought up my degrees, i'm sorry you didn't get the response from it you wanted.

Lmao, Take your sociology degree and get a probation officer job, and after 30 yrs you will make about 60k per yr. Thanks for enlightening this forum, on how pathetic your life is. I work for a fortune 500 (top 100) company, and I can promise you, nothing you do with this shit degree is meaningful. You will never be applying " The hierarchy of drug trafficking in America" to whatever field you end up in. Real world calling sushil33t, you will be entering the job market with a 23% chance of finding a job, and if you do get a job you will be on the bottom.

I am trying to devalue your degree, and if I was going to go to school for sociology, I wouldn't even waste 4 years of my life, I would go get certified as a insurance adjuster and make 150k per year, working disasters rather than work in a dead end field.

Actually he doesn't. His reading comprehension is right on par with a sociology major.

Actually I have a sociology degree, it's really not that hard to find work even starting out right after school, though mostly you'll find consulting and analysts jobs which are dull with a capital D. Someone must've told people that sociologists enjoy hours upon hours of research, which is true I guess if we were asked to research something the least bit interesting. Once you get your MA you can find better jobs in the field.

Your above post proves exactly what kind of person you are. You have the mentality of a simpleton and the foresight of a child.

It is quite ironic that you continue to harass people about their "reading comprehension" when it is so clearly obvious that you lack it yourself. I did not obtain a degree in sociology, that would be your friend fujicrow, but maybe if you actually read instead of just coming in here and talking shit you would know that. If you must know, i have a degree in biology and minor in statistics and can certainly find many lucrative fields that my skills can be applied to. But your position is comical, and the mere fact that you can't appreciate higher education is exactly why America is being threatened by other countries in the technology/science industries. It is truly infuriating to realize that the great country of America is being overridden by complete idiots such as yourself. Sure, you can pull in money, but you do nothing to better yourself or the people around you. You just exist, and when you die, you will fade away into nothing because people don't mind forgetting assholes like you.

fujicrow, i think its great that you pursued that socio/anthro. Don't let idiots like dpride, who think they are worth a shit, affect you. He may not be lying about his job, but he is not very smart because he is dumping way too much money into GLB.

This is what I read. That is all I read. I interpreted this to be. Fuji has a double major, but sushi studying( Sociology) "the demographics and hierarchy of drug trafficking in America" is a more noble cause than any double major that Fuji has. I should have read entire forum, but truth be told, I am only here to get shit riled up, and if it's not about me I just sniper at shit from a distance. Should have read it more in depth,

I WAS WRONG!!!

America is being threatened by other countries in the technology/science industries.

That is because there are too many lazy parents who don't stress education. Kids are given fruit juice in there baby bottles, Chicken nuggets instead chicken breasts. X box 360's, 0 time with there parents and then graduate on to WOW and games like GLB. Truth be told, I never even had a computer until after College Graduation... I played madden like 1 hr a week, and other than that I never did anything. All my school work was done in an actual "Computer Lab" Funny how things come full circle. Older family friends would say " It is so easy nowadays with a Computer Lab, When I was your age I had to use a type writer". Funny how I could probably google a college education nowadays...

Either way, Sociology is a terrible degree, and I would tell my kid to go get a Sales job if that's what he wanted to go to college for. This economy, and this environment, Math/science, and if you can't cut it there, then go work for UPS, or an insurance company. work at ups I think they start at 50k per yr out here in NY. time you hit 22 = 200k if you don't work weekends. Go to college spend minimum 40k? More like 120-140, you are already 340k behind, only to get a entry level career. Assume you had maxed out your Roth IRA's, and you would be closer to 500K ahead of your counterpart.

Now factor in - 77% of 2010 graduates will not find a job. I really don't even know what the options are, I just know if you score less than a 30 on your ACT, and/or are not extremely driven college is not the correct route.
