To me and my opinion only these leagues are ripe for LEARNING how to build correctly without the pressure of getting stats and allowing your players money for future training that SOME will never get depending on what teams they choose.
Anyone running for a trophy is doing it all wrong imho.
Nope. The Pee Wee trophy is the pinnicle of planning. No one can complain that you started with a better stadium, more money, higher level players, etc. There is only one tactic versus the other and better builds.
I don't build players to see how they will do, I plan my tactics around the players that are built. I build my defense arounnd what I think will need to be in place at each stage of the season.
Bort should reserve the first 8 leagues for serious owners and let the rest 'play' in the D-leagues or go hang out in the casual leagues.
HONESTLY ? Bort should have never made ANY of these leagues and should be fixing the game , but that's for another thread.

I love peewee for the fact that all teams start off at the same level. There is no way to cheat to get an edge. Plus it's easier signing level 1s than trying to send 200 pms and offers to sign one level 40 player.
If passing was improved at the lower level man peewee would be the best thing since sliced bread.

The only thing I would like to see is a league that goes longer. Instead of playing level 1 to level 13, I would like to see it go from level 1 to level 21... two seasons of the same teams. All players would be required to sign on for two seasons. One championship in odd seasons, one championship in even seasons. Then retire them all and go back to Pee Wee.
Not Gunna Happen... just wishful thinking.

Thats not a bad idea at all, would be interesting planning and developing a team that way.

Yeah, or have it go from pee-wee to a level 13 cap, no requirement for everyone to stay on though.
That way if you made 6-10 players to fill your team, you can keep them together and see how they develop a bit further.

lol so true. Peewee is harder gameplanning than even USA pro because of the closeness in levels. TimeTrial is also right in saying that the difference between lvl 10 and 13 > lvl 20 and 23 but only if you boosted for the playoffs not the start of the season

That was one of my original ideas back in the thread that started all this if anyone remembers , but as it is now I just can't take it for anything but what I said. I do see the points made though but for me and a player of mine i'd just rather play in the D's. Although my LB Decker did play PW last season it was on a serious team as well but I did that because I liked the owner and how he operated.

Play in the D's, yes, but I remember last time I did that, every time I did that we got close to the 'ship only to have it taken because guys signed with human teams before the season was over. Granted, you get more experience, but damn- to get so close.

Back to the original discussion, here is my power HB plan:
1. Train speed/agility on intense
2. 48-cap Strength
3. 48-cap Carrying
I plan to train stamina occasionally to stay in the game if needed. I haven't decided if I'll spend bonus tokens for skill points, or if I'll save them for advanced EQ in the future. I'll complete both 2 and 3 by the end of this season, and have 18 or 19 bonus tokens to spend. With 23 speed and 23 agility, this should be a pretty good power back at level 11. If I then go super-slow build for a season and not get any game XP, I'd be sitting at level 13 with maybe 38 bonus tokens and the following stats:
Strength 57
Speed 30
Agility 31
Carrying 49
Stamina 16

Super-Slow build doesn't seem like much fun, though, that's for sure. I doubt I have the patience for it.

If you plan on building a championship Pee Wee player, I don't think this is the way to go. If you are looking for a long-term player that will be a decent powerback someday, this is alright.
I think I had 63 strength, 55 speed, 40 agility, and 35 vision on my powerback last season. You don't need to worry so much about carrying until the big leagues because you aren't going to get a lot of fumbles popping out in the Pee Wees. I was running three HBs, so stamina wasn't a huge issue.
This type of back won't be catching many screen passes or any passes up field, so hopefully you are able to keep him out of the plays where passing is happening. You have no vision, so your player won't be all that great at finding his gaps, running his routes, or spotting the ball.
Likely this build is going to find a home returning punts, if he gets stronger and faster.
