My lvl 30 punter:

Game 1 100% HT

P1 Own 48.5, 35.0, CCA
P2 Own 30.0, 37.0, 12.0
P3 Own 10.0, 45.0, 10.5
P4 Own 20.5, 33.0, 8.5 HT

Game 2 100% distance

P1 Opp 49.5, 49.5, TB on CCA
P2 Opp 34.0, 29.0, CC
P3 Opp 38.5, 21.0, CCA
P4 Opp 33.5, 34.0, TB
P5 Own 49.0, 45.0, 12.5

Game 3 50/50

P1 Opp 38.5, 35.0, 31.5
P2 Opp 44.5, 40.0, CC
P3 Own 35.0, 41.0, 14.5 HT
P4 Own 32.0, 33.0, 9.0, HT
P5 Opp 48.5, 40.0, CC
P6 Own 34.0, 33.0, 7.0 HT
P7 Own 13.0, 32.0, 10.0
P8 Opp 35.0, 31.0, 15.0 HT

Bizarrely I seemed to get far more hang time on my punts when punting with my bar at 50/50 as to punting with it stuck all the way to 100% HT. On 100% distance I ended up with my worst average thanks to the TB's. Not sure if you can draw anything from these results tbh

I had hang time at 30, and punted quite good, even though there was one 34 yard return, the PR did really good on it. I think I'm going to see 20 HT or so and see if thats better

P1. Opp 35.5, 37, TB CCA
P2. Opp 43. 40, 13.5, HT
P3. Own 23, 33, 19.5, HT
P4. Own 43, 53, 21 CCA (HT?)
P5. Own 7.5, 48, 23
P6. Own 29, 39, 14.5
P7. Own 27, 31, 10 HT

Still lots of variability in punt distance, and even on HT attempts. Bort's comment was that if you set your slider to 100HT your punting angle will increase by 10% for each punt, but I am not seeing that consistently.

I'm going to move my slider right to the middle to see what if any affect it has.

My first two games i went 50 on hang time and got

Name Punts Yards Avg Net Lng TB In 20

Nott Worthy 11 417 37.9 25.0 49 0 5

and then the next two games I went 50 distance and got

Name Punts Yards Avg Net Lng TB In 20

Nott Worthy 11 480 43.6 30.0 59 1 7

Not many games but from the looks of it I will stay favoring distance unless the touchbacks increase alot.

100% Distance is working out pretty well, here are my 4 preseason games;
1 for 28 average (out of bounds heh)
4 for 41.8 average
4 for 44.8 average
6 for 52.2 average

I've only had one punt so far this season where I remembered to adjust this; I choose 100% Distance...

I doubt I'll change it

That slider does make a difference. Tried the last game set at 0 and it was TB time. Next game will be 50HT. I also doubled my career tackles this past game.

P1. Own 48.5, 47, CC
P2. Own 20.5, 36, 30
P3. Opp 40.5, 41, TB CCA
P4. Opp 40.5, 41, TB CCA
P5. Own 15.5, 37, 28.5
P6. Opp 38, 39, TB CCA

Both punts from deep in own zone had some HT. There must be a check to determine whether Big Boot or Hang Time SA activate. I would much prefer to be able to control when a BB should occur.

Now punting with 75HT and noticed that while CCs are still being attempted, punts are falling a bit short, either in terms of power or accuracy. Last season my CCs would even go out near the 15, this season the target seems to be as close to the goal line as possible, and that's resulting in TBs or returned punts.

Will try next game at 70HT just to see if general performance is the same. Had my first game with an average >40 since season 7.

I don't think it matters where I place the bar. On a recent scrimmage I went to almost half (-15) from my closer to (-50) distance. Still missed close corners, and even booted one corner attempt 63.5 and just missed the sideline.

just leave it at balanced and the game will take care of the rest

I haven't touched mine yet. Haven't had any issues punting in the past, so whatever. Figured why mess with it.

I moved mine to -100 then +100 in pre-season game 1 and 2, then -50 pre-season game 3. I haven't touched it since then.

For my pee wee punter it's set to -100.

I did an experiment in pre-season. Put half my punters on distance 100 and half on Hang Time 100 for 2 games, then switched them for 2. If gross or net yards are your goal, seems that distance is better. However, the number of punts was still low, and I had a funky VA reset in the middle that probably messed with things a bit.

Heh, the testing can help when you have so many punters to work with. You have a nice little test bed.

I just didn't like what I saw those first two games. At -100 he did things like this:

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=546808&pbp_id=49922
http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=546809&pbp_id=911050

Of course I didn't have 15 in NitC then either

Been going with 100 distance and my average isn't doing bad,. I'm up almost 5 yards a punt and I haven't seen an increase to my TB's. If anything i have seen more CC punts than anything.
