He rightfully blames Randy.

Not many will know who I am either but I owned the Vilnius Maulers in EE Pro for 3 seasons in Alpha and always respected Randy for good or bad since his intentions were always in the right place and was always trying to make EE Pro better but I certainly have lost a good amount of that respect after this move he just made.
You cant bash on teams and owners relentlessly for gutting and hurting EE Pro every off season only to gutt out his team right before the new season....shitty move no matter what the reasons......if it was a major RL reason then he wouldnt be here releasing players and retiring his guys he would have just disappeared.
Certainly a pot calling the kettle black moment if I ever saw one.......wont wish ill will on the guy but he screwed his players who were very loyal to him and EE Pro over worse then any other team has done in the past that he relentlessly called out on many occasions.

What I posted on the private forum
Had nothing to do with anything in game, just had everything to do with the fact that I broke the cycle over Easter and finally was like WTF .. I need to be done with this.
I maintained one of the best teams in GLB for one year and one month. It took a lot of effort on my side to do that, a lot more effort than I figure many single people in GLB have put into the game. So until someone runs a team that maintains itself as one of the best out of 1000s or tens of 1000s of teams for a straight year .. please call me. The only person who is qualified to talk shit about what I do is Havoc.

This is pretty much it.
I took 2 consecutive days off over Easter and it was nice, its like smokers who stop smoking for a week and then can finally imagine quitting.
Anyhow, I just need to concentrate on my PhD work and have less stress when I climb in bed, GLB was nothing but work for me for the past say 3-4 seasons and so yeah .. thats about it. It was just time to go.
Yes I didnt do it in the ideal way, but as I said, it wasnt until the break on last Saturday and Sunday that I could actually think about taking time off.
What I have done since I started Prague:
1. Got my MS, didnt miss a day
2. Moved to Germany, didnt miss a day
3. Flew 2x to the US, didnt miss a day
Yeah .. so Ive basically never been inactive despite doing things that would make a lot of people inactive, as Lohengrin said .. Im a 100% or 0% kind of guy and the fact that I wasnt doing my PhD work to the 100% top level of any PhD students in the world was annoying me to an extent where it really needed to be one or the other, GLB costs money .. so it lost.
No need for the hate, but I deserve some of that .. no worries. Anyhow nthomas invited me back because he said that some people were saying stuff and actually worried that I went nuts. Fact is, Id love to compete, I had my team set up to crush everyone even more than last season, I just decided that Id break the cycle and burn the bridges behind me so that I couldnt go back to old bad habits. My PhD research is just too important to Randy of tomorrow and for the next 40 years to waste time here, thats my thing.
Thats it .. I will also message support trying to get my team relegated, apologize to EE Pro about the gutting, but it balances out the crappy Pregls team, so maybe I can get both teams relegated
Oh I have 60 seasons worth of FP on this account, so my team is never going CPU. I feel its worth the 400FP a season not to have some newbie get their hands on my team.
The only reasons anyone is still on my team are:
1. They are casual inactive players and havent found out yet
2. They are looking for a team and want one lined up before the hit the open market
3. I promised to pay for L56 gear for anyone who wanted it, or give 1M+$ to anyone who stayed until rollover today when I could log on again to take care of the EQ fund and bankrupt the team.

He, nor did most of us, wanted someone else to come in and try to take over that team. We've all (The original Prague members...or at least 4 season Prague vets) said for many seasons, once Randy is done with Prague, so are they. Plenty plan(ed) on hanging it up after our run was over. I'd post some of the old threads, but well...they're gone.

I was a longtime GM on Prague and only once I had my own team for a few seasons, did I stop being one. I never did any game planning, just some data mining, but that's all I knew I would be able to do well. Why did I do it? He asked me (or just anyone, really) to help. LouisvilleAg GMed for a couple seasons upon request and would have continued to do so had he not been caught up in his own team. There were countless times over the past few seasons Randy asked for help scouting with a couple stepping up for a game or two, but never any real length. We were a team full of professionals that built solid players with plenty of research put into it to avoid the trends and just stick with something that would always work well enough with just a little equipment shifting. He wanted the help, we never gave it to him. So, blame the long term agents of Prague. It's on us.

Yep the consensus was that we all wanted to play until S10 and then retire together. But the other day I took a break and it was nice, then evileyez mentioned in the Private forums that its likely that player decline will drag on until S13/14 and I guess that was bouncing around in my head because I was totally like "fuck that". I talked myself into 80 more days last season, I was 90% ready to leave after S8 before the start of the season, the season was totally gimp, but my players were all like Mark said .. "Prague 4 Life" and "Prague is here until Randy isnt", so yeah .. I went ahead and convinced myself to try to suck it up for another 80 days .. but when it started to dawn on me that it wouldnt be 80 days .. it would be maybe 160, 200 .. I was like .. noway ..
Again sucks that it came when it did .. but doing something sudden and then burning bridges was going to be the only way I could ever escape, otherwise Id have felt bad for my players and EE Pro and all kinds of bullshit that doesnt really matter and kept playing, even though I didnt want to (my players in RL matter, but they are all good builds and high levels, they will find teams, so GLB wise, they will be fine).

Maybe people will come back to the forum now that he's gone?
Is he gone for good from EEPro? (crossing fingers)
who the fuck are you?
don't worry about it

Like I said, everyone has their own opinion and he one I was forming was that this was handled badly.
I understand you didn't want someone else running the team and the players who were your longtime guys would want to move. This doesn't prelude proactive team ownership shift, releasing players who wanted to be released and allowing someone to try to make a competitive team for EE Pro because it likely is too late to relegate.
I understand your reasons for leaving and think they are good ones. The game was too much a part of your life. All told though, you threw some major hissy fits, helped create the need for an EE Pro Private Forum (I blame people for their own actions as well, those who were offended by your trying to make the league more competitive didn't need to go as far either, but this does not obviate/preclude your own actions) all over someone gutting after relegation had been performed.
I hope everything works you for you and I am glad you have gained better perspective on the game. That's to be praised, not pilloried.

Damn hate to see you go. You were the best team here and alot of us wanted to see the rematches with you. I personally could not wait till the weeks my players played against you. We have history from season 1 here. But I understand everything you are saying, I have thought about quiting every season and hold on to being a casual player now days. Randy live your life without regrets and do what is best for you!

GTFO you punk, pussy bitch. There is no need for your fucking whiny hypocritical ass in this game.
Good Luck Randy...based on your life, sounds like you made the right decision for you. It sucks being the newbie and not getting to meet you in a better fashion, but you got to do what you got to do.
