Might be true, but anything with the word "easy" in it is not going to describe the fight for the playoffs in Season 9. Last year was the first real season where several perennial playoff teams and former champions missed the playoffs.
The list will get longer this season. None of last season's playoff teams look like they have taken a step back, which doesn't leave much room with 5 new teams coming in, and the 2 good teams who missed last year trying to scratch their way back in.

To be honest, the East/West debate in USAPL is pretty pointless now. I know history favors the East in the title game, but I have a hard time looking at the two conferences and honestly picking one to be stronger than the other. Suffice it to say that they comprise the two hardest conferences in GLB, and we can just leave it at that.
