Last season there were teams that didnt make the playoffs just because they started late and took over a team that had a crappy record (I took over a 2-5 team for example).

Rome SHOULD have been in the playoffs last season, because Budapest Blue Wave made 8th seed and we crushed them 41-10, Rome would have been a MUCH better game, but Hazy took over a team with a much worse record, I said before the playoffs last year when I was writing my reports that Rome is probably at least a 5th seed at the end of last season, however it was not so.

The entire league would benefit from the level of play rising, because:
1. We would get more respect from other leagues .. I am Eastern Europe fan all the way, I have no desire to go anywhere and even if there was a champions league and I was fortunate enough to represent EE, I would want to come back here if and when we were relegated.
2. Because defense needs snaps too. These non-competitive games are good for stats or people that lust after big stats, but honestly you cant even tell who is a good team from stats right now because your stats get so bloated by blowing teams out. Take a look at the most recent game between Rome and Prague .. that was a tight game with two teams that are somewhat close in level, THAT is what I want, solid games. Also defense doesnt get snaps if the opposing offense cant stay on the field.

we know you like it here. but why not go to USA Pro where you can compete and let us have it even more competitive as well. its a win-win situation.

OKay Randy, No need to get upset. That is why I apologized. I understand now that you want tough games. No worries. My head was in another place. I want alot of tough games too. and I think that it is a matter of time, all the teams will be better. I think next season we will have a alot tougher of a league then we do this season. So I spologize for making a stab at you like that. Like I said to Sarg truer words where never spoken. i did nto see what you were saying till his response. so sorry. Also I wanted to say that I do feel bad for the teams that got gutted or lost a lot of players, but I have stressed since day 1 that I only signed people for my team from the start that I got via mature responses through PMs and that I never just "carpetbombed" offers out to people without talking to the individual first and assessing their character and desire to be on my team. I would attribute my lack of player turnover to my work at filtering out people likely to leave before I even signed them.

I sent people long educated arguments for why they should play for me, the ones that bothered to read it and we talked and eventually I signed them, some of them I worked very hard to get off their teams and it took weeks for me to get them.

I believe that most of those guys havent boosted yet, so they will be probably L20,L20 and L17/L18 by the playoffs. I just let those people go, there was no drama, because people play for me because I take care of them and they know that I am working hard to ensure that each and every one of my players is taken care of. Most of the time I answer questions before people ask them and I track their snaps ensuring that they get maximal experience and that I dont have unnecessary depth that just makes everyone unhappy ... all I am after is a happy team who levels and wins and because of my work that is what happens.

So if you think that I just got some sort of magic advantage because I started early (I started later than many teams at Game 9 of Season 1), I kept all my people (I work very hard to ensure they are happy and that they know that I am working for them to be happy) and that we win (I scout games for at least 4 hours, even games that I dont really have to, it is not an accident that we continue to win, or "just levels" I work hard to ensure that there arent any surprises.)

If I was gloating that I win and dont even need to try, yes I understand that would be insulting, however what I am saying is that I try no matter what and that I just want some people to make it more interesting and so that I can take a look at the numbers from games around the league and know that those numbers mean something. Also as I said before, I could really use some defensive snaps badly, my snap tracking shows me that there is really something wrong with the competition and I can tell by snaps how competitive a game really was. Of course that is what 2 seasons of tracking numbers will get you, hard work.

Heh, I know what you mean there. I was so crushed when they got us in overtime on a INT from our backup QB on their side of the field. Ugh. I had to stay away from the game for like 24 hours after that one. Of course, they had Grodno earlier to break up the morale-siphoning losing streak.

Here's why I have an issue with those 8 going. Where do you plan on putting them? You'd have to re-org everyone, not just us and AAA. There are teams like that in every single league and level (most likely). Since there is no draft to help the lower leagues get better talent, there is going to be a major problem with parity for many years to come. It's not something that is going to get worked out overnight by dropping teams to a league where they would probably get their asses kicked as well.

What you are asking for requires a LOT of legwork from the admins.

The Horde (#7) beats the Invaders (#10) and niether teams moves from last weeks rankings. I know it's just a math formula, but an interesting outcome.

To be completely clear, it was not my intention to imply that the winning teams aren't doing some really good things - after all, you can only beat what's on your schedule, there's no way to make it "fair".

My post was actually intended to support your position. If the leagues actually worked properly, I'd have no trouble accepting that our team - as it stands now - should be playing in a league with fewer season 1 elite teams. I use this language not to deprecate their accomplishments, but to point out the obstacles associated with competing with them if you aren't one of them.

Oso you talked a lot of crap when you were on the Invaders about how awesome yall were and now you whine about not disrespecting you because your team loses Oso .. it seems you cant be happy no matter what. I even didnt bring it up when you guaranteed victories against people this season and I said it wasnt going to happen and you got bent out of shape about that, this is the first "told you so" about that, because you are making a deal out of this.

I was hoping that Warsaw got to stay up in Pro, because it seems that Sarg is trying to fix things and he is active on the forums, whereas the other 2 teams are really not even trying, so Warsaw "deserves" to be in Pro more than at least 2 other teams in Alpha.

Just like I said that Rome deserved to be in the playoffs last season .. it seems there are a lot of teams that could be removed from Pro and we would have a more active, fun and competitive league, but my "telling it like it is" wasnt popular last season when I told yall what would happen in games with my weekly preview/review and it isnt very popular now, I guess people have their own sense of reality that they would prefer to be in a bubble, dont ask me.

Well regardless, I believe that the devs arent going to change anything so we get what we get and that is 4 teams (2 from each EE AAA League) and honestly Id prefer Alpha gets the USA Vacationers because they would add some strength to that conference to make up for the fact that Zeta will have 1 legit cupcake after this season and Alpha will still have 3. Or to be less condescending .. 3 teams that have not shown through almost 2 seasons of play can manage to be competitive even when at least 2 of those teams have rosters with competitive levels of players.

I'm just looking at things more like a herd. Eventually the weaker ones will get weeded out under the current plan. It's the bottom teams in each division that get dropped, right? Two more teams come in, then 40 days later it happens all over. Eventually we are going to have the cream of the crop in the Pro ranks, and every other league will be the same. The game is still in it's beta phase, so none of us really know what is going to transpire from season to season.

No need to put the cart before the horse, because the cart still needs A LOT of work...and the horse has gas.
