I would reverse tackling and strength.

STr is more important than jumping so it's not even close to right. But good start.

STR is only important to the scouting bar for a CB IMO
... jumping is much more important than catching since it can help you get a PD, INT or make a tackle from further away

How much strength are you talking about? My CB's with 48-capped str/tkl don't perform much better than the CB's on the team without it...

Well you capped tackling too. That's your problem.

Speed>Agility=Vision>Catching>S.A.>Strength>Jumping.

You don't need tackling you are wasting sp's

I am very interested in this catching theory of UDs. His experimental CBs are quite convincing. Here is my current CB theory.

Speed>agility(speed is only very slightly more important)>vision>jumping/catching>strength. Confidence and tackling dont seem very useful. Wouldnt train either past 30.

Youd be lying if you said catching didnt do anything. UDs 3 experimental CBs are proof that catching does have an effect. But to what effect? By itself I don't see catching helping all that much...It wont make a bad build good like speed/agility/vision will.
But like jumping, if you have enough of these big 3 to keep with your man, catching will do WONDERS! Im also pretty convinced that if you cap catching first, capping jumping will make your catching even MORE valuable. Not only will you have a big catch sphere, you will be able to move it around a shitload with jumping. I definately noticed an improvement in my CBs play after I capped jumping. I see no need to ever double cap it(most WRs cant jump that high, no need for you to). But if my CB had high catching when I was capping jumping it would be even BETTER! not only would he be able to tip these high passes, he might just catch them too!!!

1 problem with UD's CBs they were successful at getting INTs lower levels, all CBs get INTs at lower levels
JG had 12 INTs when his catching was under 20 ...

a relevant example though, even if at lower levels.

but the two with higher catching each performed significantly better then the one with higher jumping and they all played the same WRs. Shows that catching at that time had more of an effect than jumping.
